‘Tis the season to drop off little ‘happies’ to nice people like hair stylists, neighbors, coworkers, mail carriers….so I saw an idea on Pinterest using wire and washi tape for weaving a bracelet. I was thinking it would be great just for a treat bag since ribbon can get a little spendy if you need to make a lot of them. Although washi tape is available in most crafty stores, I love that Stampin’ Up has washi tape that coordinates with their designer papers!
I made a quick video to show how easy the washi tape twisties are to make.
(note: I had an odd yellow cast to my film this time. I could have shot it again but I’ve got some shopping to do!)
I love the way the 3×3 cards/envelope match the washi tape twistie. And of course chocolate anytime is great but coordinating the paper and the washi twistie was fun to do!
I get what I call “Pinspired”….I see inspiration and have to Stampinup-ify it!
This is what I saw:
It’s not Stampin’ Up washi tape or stamps, not even sure who the artist is since there isn’t a watermark on this one.
It pinspired me to create this with our washi tape:
I used the Beach House Washi Tape set, which features Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Real Red.
I’ll warn those of you precise, orderly stampers….tearing the washi tape so it tears exactly where you want it to is near impossible. I’d love to be one of those ‘oh it doesn’t matter how long it is, wherever it goes it goes’ but I didn’t get the free spirited stamping gene. So I had to tear them as if they happened randomly but with deliberate structure LOL
I used 2 stamp sets for the greeting and loved the combo!
Holiday Invitation for the CELEBRATE stamp in Real Red and Work of Art for the pretty YOU stamp in Pool Party.
