Gorgeous Posies Kit Deal!

Hi All!

I’ve been off my blog for a while, catching up on mailing new catalogs and my paper, ribbon and accessory shares. This year I didn’t have a crew helping me so I’ve been hustlin’ to get them all out and I’m done:) Thanks to all who participated again this year!

With doing my 2 videos a week for Stamping School and all the new catty business, my card sending was WAY behind so I ordered one of the new kits
from the new Stampin’ Up annual catalog:

It’s called Gorgeous Posies and it really IS gorgeous!
(The photo below is from SU)

In literally 10 minutes, I had 4 cards done!
So much prettier in person, as most things are but here they are:

The $32 kit comes with supplies to make 16 full sized cards, envelopes and ribbon/twine.
And it also has the pretty box to put them all in
if you want to give it as a gift (or a gift to you!)

For ink pads, the kit recommends 4 of the purples but you really only need BlackBerry Bliss to stamp the sentiments – it goes with all the designs. The sentiments are all the stamping needed- all the rest of the work is already done!

There is a stamp set you can buy separately but you really don’t need it if you have other sentiment stamps on hand. It is $19 (see pic below)

Linda’s Gorgeous Posies Kit Deal:

For the next 2 days I’m giving free shipping on the kit – it’s $32 plus tax.
If you get the stamp set also, it is $51 total and I’ll give you free tax AND shipping!  Just email me at Linda@stampingschool.com and say
“I want the Gorgeous Posies deal!”

Offer ends June 30th- just 2 days only.

Many Medallions Meets the New In Colors

Hi all!

The new Stampin’ Up annual catalog is just around the corner, June 3rd!
(if you ordered from me this year and haven’t received your catalog, let me know)
Bulk mail seems to be running slower amid the covid situation and I’m hearing from customers that catalogs are still be delivered in mailboxes, even just today.

I’ve been playing in the craft room this week, using some of our demonstrator pre-order goodies from the new catalog.  There is a cool background die called Many Medallions and I had an idea to weave some card stock or designer paper thru the ends:

I used all 5 of new In Color card stocks, from the top down they are Misty Moonlight,
Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness and Just Jade.

Each strip is 5/8″ x 5-1/4″, and it runs underneath and I popped the ends thru!
I did add a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of whisper white behind the strips since it brightened it up.

Here is the back side of a yellow version – This one was on white, but I didn’t like it as well.

It was so fun, I also did it with yellow and black:

This one was the new Bumblebee and Daffodil Delight card stock
under Basic Black.

*I also did another stepped up version using the Medallion dies on Stamping School for Sunday videos tomorrow – be sure to login to watch that one!

I originally added a simple sentiment banner but it got lost so I added
So Sentimental and Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  Here was the banner version:

Aren’t those little white flowers cute?  That’s from a new punch coming out called
Confetti Flowers Border Punch.  It will punch out 6 flowers at a time, a few sizes.

Check out what my talented friend and team member, Cindy Brumbaugh, did with the Medallion die!  She turned it into a holiday card using the new Greenery suite.  So pretty and you can read the details how she created it HERE her blog.

Note – June 3rd, we will most likely have some items running behind schedule.
Stampin’ Up is still open and manufacturing but with Utah guidelines and smaller crews.  So I’ll keep you posted on things that may not be available on June 3rd.  Ordering will be turned off at midnight MT and is supposed to be back open around noon MT.

The background die is part of a sentiment bundle!
Many Mates Bundle #154083  $51.25
which saves 10% off of each.

The Many Medallions background die set can be purchased separately
without the bundle for $34   #153584

See how they trimmed the largest die down to give another look?

I like how they just sponged a little ink on the background paper
before laying on the die cut.

June 2nd – Last Day to order 2019-2020 Retiring Catalog items!

June 3rd – Midnight (MT) ordering will pause while they turn over for new catalog!  Ordering will be turned back on by noon MT June 3.

June 3-June 30th – Annual Catalog Host Promotion!  Any $250 order (combined with friends) or your own earns an EXTRA $25 in host rewards!

June 3rd – June 30th:  Starter Kit Special!  Sign up (or sign up again) for $99 plus tax, free shipping and choose $125 in products PLUS any bundle free!
(choose stamps/dies or stamps/punch bundles)

It’s my favorite time of the year with the new Stampin’ Up Annual catalog beginning on June 3rd!  I’ve been doing product shares for almost 15 years and it’s a great way to get a sample of the new designer papers, ribbons and accessories without having to buy all of it at once and have it all on hand for samples or for creating at home! Same with accessories – I split those between 5 people.

I’ll keep track and order based on the number of participants between May 27-June 2nd midnight for Round 1. Ordering for the new catalog begins June 3rd. I’ll sort and cut all the pieces for you. Then I package them up in my clear acetate boxes to keep them organized and mail them to you.
You should have your shares by the 3rd week in June pending backorders (I’ll keep you posted on those via email if it happens)

Don’t forget we still have a few weeks left for the retiring products!

Don’t miss these 8 things….

Things that make you go, hmmmm?
With the retirement list out for a few weeks now, I’ve noticed some things on it that are surprising to me!  Odd things like stamps that are retiring but the punch isn’t. Or things I think are must have’s but are retiring and Stampin’ Up didn’t consult me:-)
These fall into the ‘what are they thinking’ category in my mind LOL

Before I get started, I love getting your notes and emails asking if I am doing my annual paper shares for the upcoming new catalog.  YES!  I love doing them and will be offering them again this year.  We have some possible slowdowns with getting ribbons and a few papers but I plan to have a good back up plan.  I’ll be posting those as we get closer.

So here are my top 10 hmmmms….just in case you need them like I did:(at the time of my post, all items were still available)

  1.  White Baker’s TwineYes, you can get it practically everywhere but I LOVE ours!  It’s soft, easy to tie, not slippery. It dyes with reinkers, markers and our blends where some I’ve had almost resist it.  It’s perfect.  It’s only 3.50 for 25 yards.
I’ve ordered 5 extra rolls, I hope there’s some left for ya.
Happy Tails (dog) #148682   $17     Sold Out except for French language
Nine Lives #148703  $16 Photopolymer stamp set2. Happy TailsThe Dog and Cat punches carried over to the new catalog but not the coordinating stamp sets.  Hmmmm…..I don’t get it but there is still time to get the stamp set for both dog, cat or anyone who needs a pet sympathy card.
here are the dog and cat punches in case you don’t have those yet either:

#144666 Cat Punch $18        Dog punch  #148543  $18

3. Stamparatus Replacement Plates
#149693  $15

I haven’t had to replace my plates yet and I use my stamparatus a LOT.   I just feel easier knowing I have a back up set in case something really bad happens to one of my plates.  Like when I accidentally leaned on my ipad yesterday and the screen shattered like hot water on an icy window.  Ugh.  If you have a stamparatus, it would be good to grab an extra set just in case.

4.  1/2″ Circle punch
#119869  $6

Why?  Why is this cute little guy on the hit list?  He can’t possibly take up that much room.  Really?  So useful for faux buttons, for snowman heads, for large eyeballs…through the years I’ve used him for a ton of things.  darnit.
(while you are at it, be sure you have the 1″ circle punch,
also on the retiring list.  #110868 $13)

5.  Classic Garage Metal Embellishments
#149485  $2.80

We still carry the Garage stamp set and dies so if you have those, pick up an extra set of these metal embellies.  I used the key for new home cards, also!  Super cute.

6.  All Glimmer (aka Glitter) Papers

Whaaaaat?  No sparkly snow paper in the annual catalog?
Surely there must be something else coming in the Holiday catalog for snow,
I’m trying to not get crazy about it. I only ordered 3 packs:)
Sparkle (white) #146957   $5
Rose Glimmer #146959  $3
Gold Glimmer #146958  $5

The other item that blew my mind was retiring our Dazzling Diamonds glitter!  I’d post it but it’s gone already 😦

7.  layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder
#152321  9.00

The perfect embossed background.  I used it a LOT.  It looked great for tropical, for holidays, for sympathy, with any flower.  I’ll miss it.

8.  Twinkle Builder Punch
#146321 $7.20
We will  always need baby cards.  Just when I think I’m too old for my friends to have babies, my friends have kids that have kids. So it never ends thankfully, because babies are cute.   We still have cute baby stamps but this punch is So easy to create baby themed cards.   I did this mini gift card bag a few years ago, you can see that post here

Just Roll With It….

Share Sunshine PDF Download $12  Buy it here!

Stampin’ Up created some digital images (not stamps!) and is packed with both lighthearted and thoughtful sentiments and imagery relevant to the unique COVID-19 and social distancing situation we are currently in. There are 15 pages of images! You can use the download in your cardmaking and papercrafting projects. Simply print the images on cardstock and cut it out using your trimmer, punches, or dies.
Since we are physically distanced from each other, now is a perfect time to share sunshine with our friends and family by sending cards!

As part of Stampin’ Up!’s Making a Difference program, 100% of the Share Sunshine PDF Download proceeds will go to COVID-19 efforts through these organizations:

  • The World Health Organization’s COVID-Solidarity Response Fund OR
  • United Way Worldwide’s COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund

(You can choose where your $12 goes to when you get to the download page)

I created 2 birthday cards using some of the downloads

I printed the “roll with it’ sentiment and added a little TP ruffle skirt border:)
The floral designer paper is from the Best Dressed

This one I used the Wild Rose die to make it look a little like a mask!
Birthday Bonanza designer paper.

Get Blooming Early!

Before I dive into the new promotion this month, I know many of you may be dealing with loss of income or worry for this current state of our lives with the virus.  It’s a scary time  and everyone reacts differently to crisis situations.  Some of you are hunkering down and watching TV, some are stamping like crazy!  Some are cooking, some are organizing, some are just trying to keep kids occupied!  My friend Patsy and I were chatting yesterday about feeling odd about posting promotional stuff with all that is happening.
After chatting, we decided it’s better to just go on with sharing business as usual
since some want new stamps and to create at home!  So on we go…..

Hi all!  It’s April 1st and the start of a new suite that is available early!  Stampin’ Up’s Annual catalog is around the corner in June and this suite is an early release starting today.    Demos like me have had it for a month  and there’s a whole bunch of bloomin’ goodness in it!

You can view/print the 3 page flyer HERE

Here’s a quick video from the home office so you can see it a bit closer:

Let’s break down the products in the suite!
First there is a one button, buy it all item number.  You know when you go into a store and want the whole mannequin? or you just say I want the #4 at the drive-thru because it’s easy?  That’s what some like!  (actually I wish macy’s had a mannequin package, I’d just say ‘all that’ and be done shopping:)

#154153  $136.75
The suite includes 2 bundles (stamps/dies),
embossing folder, ribbons, designer paper and gems!

**If you end of ordering the whole suite from me, I’ll send you a pack of whisper White envelopes and a pack of cardstock, your choice of Terracotta Tile or Old Olive (those will coordinate the best with the designer paper!)

For those that like a-la-carte:

This bundle can be broken down into 2 parts also
but you do save 10% on them both when you buy them separately.
The Ornate Style (rubber) stamps #152572 $21 and the dies (shown below) are $37 if purchased a-la-carte.

Look at these dies!  If you are on Stamping School,
I have used it 2x already for project videos.  Really fun to work with!
The upper right and lower left are open dies without borders.

Here’s another bundle of photopolymer stamps/dies!
The stamp set is fun to mix up sentiments to create a very thankful card.  I stamped all the sentiments, trimmed them out and
then just moved them around to see what I could come up with:

(sorry for the rough photo)
You can see the whole set below, I like the mix of fonts!

Here’s a closer look at the dies

Accessories!  A 3D embossing folder, a 2 roll ribbon pack in Terracotta and Old Olive and gold faceted gilded sticky gems.

The floral designer paper has some shiny gold images as well as lots of daisies!
It’s an interesting palette because it can go spring or fall.
#152488  $15  12×12 sheets, 12 sheets/pack

See how the pretty floral paper can be multi-seasonal?

And a few more samples:

I like how color is added on just a few of the flowers on the designer paper.

This one is an example of the open dies, just cut 2x on Terracotta Tile cardstock as a
decorative layer.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for SU

(we manufacture our own stamps and many other accessories however items like metal dies are made out of the country.  Hopefully one day there will be US manufacturing large enough for those items)

Stampin’ Up posted this a few days ago:

Like many of you, we are continuing to follow the Coronavirus (COVID-19) coverage. We are monitoring news of the situation as it unfolds and we’re working to account for its possible impact to several business aspects that will affect demonstrators (manufacturing, transportation, travel, events, etc.). The health and safety of demonstrators and staff is important to us and we appreciate your partnership and patience as we work to address this global issue.

We are doing all we can to mitigate the impact, including air freighting products when possible. Each week we will update the list below with the products that we know will be (or already are) affected by these delays:

  • 149615: Subtles 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper
  • 151474: Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
  • 151566: Bonanza Dies
  • 151154: From My Heart Faceted Gems
  • 151193: Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels
  • 151310: Assorted Pompoms
  • 151512: Garden Gateway Dies
  • 151526: Detailed Bee Dies
  • 151594: Poppy Moments Dies
  • 151605: Painted Labels Dies
  • 151296: Label Me Lovely Punch
  • 151297: Label Me Fancy Punch
  • 146956: Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder
  • 151304: Three Cheers for You Card Kit (EN)
  • 151690: Stitched So Sweetly Dies
  • 151326: Whisper White 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon

Product Production

We are happy to share that all the factories we use in China are up and running!  Some are at 100% capacity and others are still moving in that direction. The COVID-19 outbreak has caused more delays than usual in our ability to replenish products. However, it is very good news that all factories are working again as they are also producing new products for our upcoming annual catalog.

Our manufacturing facility in North America continues to work overtime and operate on two shifts. However, we have separated the shifts by an hour in an effort to reduce COVID-19 exposure risk, which has caused a small decrease in production. We are working hard to minimize backorders of stamps, Classic Stampin’ Ink, and cardstock, but there may be some intermittent backorders on these products in the coming weeks.

To lower the COVID-19 exposure risk, we split our order fulfillment operation from one shift into two shifts. Each group works 12-hour days with one coming in on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and the other reporting in on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. (With this change in schedule, you may receive an order confirmation on Saturday, however, be aware that orders fulfilled on Saturday will not be picked up and processed until Monday.)

We are doing the best we can to get orders out, but as of the end of last week, we were picking orders two to three days after the order was placed. These delays are likely to increase the longer we work the split shifts, and, as we come upon the end of Sale-A-Bration, they could increase more significantly than we have seen in the past. We usually work overtime to get orders out this time of year, but with the current situation, we will be unable to work those extra hours.

We will continue to update you on the situation. Please be patient with us as we work to balance the health of our employees with the needs of our demonstrators and customers.

In order to minimize risks for employees, customers, and communities, UPS is no longer requiring a customer signature for deliveries (until further notice). For more information about how UPS continues to respond to this situation, click here.

Stay well, Stay in and Keep Stamping!
