Annual Extravaganza Sale Starts Monday!

It’s the season to have a sale!  I can’t believe Thanksgiving is coming up this week and then the holiday shopping frenzy begins in stores everywhere!  Stampin’ Up is having their annual sale for lots of gifts for you and maybe your crafty friends, too.  It all starts Monday, Nov 20th and runs through Nov 26th.

Then on November 27th, there will be a special 24-hour flash sale after other Online Extravaganza deals end on the 26th.  Make sure to check back here for the announcement and more details! (even I don’t know what it is yet!)

24-Hour Stamp Sale on Monday, November 20th!

You can shop visually here or print the list here – Sort-able Excel or PDF

My 3 favorites are the Good Tidings, Number of Years (I have used that the most over the last few years with the number dies on sale also- so handy!) and the Touches of Texture for fast floral cards.

(I don’t have any customers that are buying the wood mount stamps but some still like those. If you prefer wood mount over the clear mount shown below, see this flyer for the wood mount sale prices.)

These items below are on sale 10-40% off between November 20 – Nov 26th:

(my favorite and most recommended items are in GREEN like the watercolor pencils, the cable folder and the sequins)  The framelits have coordinating stamp set so be sure to ask me where those are in the catalog if you can’t find them.

Blossom Builder Punch

Gold 1/8" Ribbon

Mini Gift Bows

Watercolor Pencils

6" X 17" (15.2 X 43.2 Cm) Gusseted Cellophane Bags

Perfect for bottle of wine or loaf of bread!

Well that is a LOT of things on sale!  I have a special gift I’ll mail to you for ordering with me online during the sale!  If you would rather email me your list with item numbers, email me at

So what’s a Stamparatus? I think you are going to want one…

Introducing the Stamparatus: A New Way to Stamp!

It’s pretty cool and Stampin’ Up introduced everyone to the Stamparatus last week at OnStage Live in Salt Lake City, Utah. There was lots of cheering when Sara announced the introduction of this amazing tool to the Stampin’ Up! product line.  It’s not available quite yet but we can reserve one beginning Nov 16th for shipping around Feb 1st.

Here is a an introduction video by the home office so you can see how it works and all the features/benefits:

The cost of the tool will be $49 (US) and as you can see from the video, it really helps with perfect alignment or if you are stamping multiples!

There will be 3 reservation periods for those that want it early.  If you don’t want to reserve it now, it will be in the Annual Catalog coming out in June 2018!

November 16–30, 2017 – Shipping Approx. February 1, 2018 SOLD OUT

December 5–30, 2017 – Shipping Approx. March 19, 2018

January 15–30, 2018 -Shipping Approx. April 15, 2018

To be ready to reserve one for yourself, you will need to create a Stampin’ Up account with a login if you haven’t created one before.  There will be a page to choose your demonstrator. If you want me as your demo, look for Linda Heller in NC.  I will come up for Hendersonville, NC.   (FYI, there are 2 linda hellers, isn’t that something?!)

To set up a SU account yourself online click here:

If you are uncomfortable doing that online, just email me  and I’ll help you manually with the reservation.

On the 16th, I’ll post again with a link to reserve one if you want it!   SU is requiring a credit card to reserve but it will not be charged until it ships. (see Q&A below)

Click HERE to see a PDF of what the screens will look like when you reserve your spot.  I know this is VERY different than our usual product releases but SU is trying to avoid back orders for a soon to be popular tool!

I’m one just a few demonstrators to test one out early!  I was asked to do a presentation with it for our ON Stage conference so I’ve been playing with it for a month now!  It’s amazing what it can do and I think they will give me the ok to do some videos with it starting Dec 12th.  (On Stage Fuzzy pic but it’s the only one that I know someone took!)  I’ll be posting my projects as soon as I can of course!

Here’s a little Q&A that might be helpful:

How do I reserve my Stamparatus during one of the reserve periods?

A: Normally you order Stampin’ Up! products through the online store; in this case, you will click the RESERVE link on the Stamparatus page which will take you to the reservation page.

Q What if I do not have a Stampin’ Up! customer account?

A: To reserve a Stamparatus, you must have a customer account. To create one, click Create Account on the online store.  OR just let me know you want one and with what credit card you want to hold it on.  It will not take the money or hold the money from your account.  It’s like a hotel reservation.  You won’t be charged til it ships.

Q: Why does it take so long for the Stamparatus to ship?

A:We will place an order with the manufacturer based on how many reservations are made during any given reservation window. Shipping dates depend on how long it takes the order to arrive in our warehouse after the tools have been manufactured.

Q: Am I billed at the time I reserve my Stamparatus?

A: No. However, a credit card is required to reserve the product.

Q: When will I be charged for the Stamparatus?

A: When inventory arrives in the warehouse, we will add your reservation to a shopping cart. We will then send you an email notifying you that your Stamparatus order is ready. Once you finalize payment and close your order, the system will charge your credit card.

Q: Will I be able to add other products to my Stamparatus reservation?

A: No. However, once your reservation is transferred to your shopping cart, you will then be able to add

other items to your order. Important note: Please do not delete the Stamparatus from your order. We will not be able to add it back and you will lose your reservation.

Q:Will I be able to update my address and credit card information when I open my shopping bag to complete my order?

Q:What if I change my mind and want to cancel my reservation?

A:You can cancel your reservation at any time. To cancel, please see the How to Reserve Your Stamparatus Tutorial for Customers PDF.

Q:Will the tool be available in the 2018–2019 annual catalog?

A:Yes. Once the annual catalog ordering period begins, you will be able to order the Stamparatus as you would any other product. Reservations will no longer be required, and there will be no limit on the number of tools you can order.

Q: Once the Stamparatus has been added to my shopping cart, how long will it stay there?

A:Indefinitely. As with all products, it will be subject to temporary interruptions in availability depending on demand.

Q:When I close my order, can I take advantage of current Stampin’ Up! promotions?

Q:Can I participate in all three reservation periods?

Q:How many stamp placement tools can I reserve per reservation window?

A:For customers, there is a limit of 1 per reservation window.

Ok that’s the BIG announcement today – more tomorrow!

Why buy a box when you can make one…

I LOVE plaid, especially big and chunky buffalo plaid like this on a gift box or bag!

(By the way, Matt and I saw real buffalo in South Dakota a few weeks ago and wow, big and majestic!  The snorting, the thick fur and those eyes…. really impressive!)

Making boxes is very easy to do with just a little scoring and cutting the flaps.

Bottom of box:   8″ x 8″.  Score at 2” on all four sides. Cut flaps just like photo above.

Top of box: 6” x 6”.  Score at 1″ on all four sides. Cut flaps just like photo above.

 Belly band: 1” x 12”

Buffalo Plaid is still popular in fashion and home decor. Just google images for it and you will see a ton of stuff! Aren’t those ornaments cute? (found those at pottery barn)

The deer pillow is what inspired my box. The deer die is from Santa’s Sleigh from Stampin’ Up. Right now Stampin’ Up also this holiday paper called Merry Little Christmas.  With two buffalo plaid prints in the pack, I’m all in!

I’m heading to Utah tomorrow for our annual SU Convention called On Stage!  Hope to see many of  you there and while we can’t post pics of the sneak peeks yet, I can share swaps and other goodies on my Stamping School facebook page:

Feel Creative Today!

I wasn’t feeling creative today with a heavy schedule and to do list but I picked up a few of new markers and just started coloring.  And it felt good.  I felt creative and I think anyone can feel that way with these!

Coloring an image can be fun and yet sometimes frustrating!  We want to have that multi-dimensional, blended effect but regular markers leave lines and edges.  Stampin’ Up has added a new line of alcohol markers called Stampin’ Blends and they are officially available today!

See the 26 colors available now (more coming!) and a bundle deal flyer HERE

You can get one marker, or 2 markers or a bundle!  I love that individual markers are available since I tend to use a lot of the light Pool Party, for example.  Because they are not refillable but very reasonably priced at 4.50 a piece, I can just get just one if I need it.  If you do order the whole bundle now, they will come individually wrapped for freshness rather than in a box.

  • Two tips! Brush tip or fine-point bullet tip
  • Each color (except Ivory and Bronze) has a light and dark shade marker, available individually or in a combo 2-pack
  • Stampin’ Up has done in-house testing for evaporation and longevity and are really happy with the results
  • Press fit seal lids prevents air from entering the barrel and causing evaporation. They are also nest-able to stack while you are coloring.

If you have been a demonstrator before or would like to try it out for the hobby discount or business, you can get the whole blends bundle in your starter kit and save a bunch!  In the starter kit, you can choose the bundle for $121.50 and pay only $99 plus tax and free shipping!   That’s a savings of around $34 on the bundle if you want to join SU in November with me.  The whole collection item number is #147475.

If you are new to alcohol markers, the Stampin’ Up Home office created 4 videos to watch:

Features & Benefits Overview Video

Basics of Blending by Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Blends: Color Lifter and Skin Tones

Color Me Happy Project Kit – While Supplies Last!

Are you looking for a fun and easy card kit? The Color Me Happy Card Kit includes 16 adorable cards. You will need Pool Party, Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, and Pumpkin Pie dark and light Stampin’ Blends to color.

You can buy the kit individually or as a bundle:

Color Me Happy Clear-Mount Stamp Set $19  #144069  (wood mount avail for $27)

Color Me Happy Project Kit $25  #144609

Color Me Happy Clear-Mount Bundle with stamps and kit for  $39.50  #148034

I did an extended tips video in Stamping School for this kit but here an overview from SU:

If you decide you want to order the new Blends from me, I have a completed color chart and gift for you!

Pick Your Potion…

I made up a few of these cute pizza boxes for friends for Halloween!

I used the Festive Phrases from the Holiday catalog, a cute multi-occasion stamp set int eh Holiday catalog. (page 45, #144960 $17)

About 11 M&Ms fit in the Treat Tubes.  The best part was eating all the other colors just so I could use just the orange and green ones:)

The Olive and Black buffalo plaid is from the Merry Little Christmas paper but I think it works well for Halloween, too!

Alcohol Markers are back on November 1st!

We’ve had them before but now they are new & improved with even more features to help bring out your inner artist!

See the 26 colors and bundle deal flyer HERE

I have a few videos using the new blends already in Stamping School, so be sure to login there and watch those.  Stampin’ Up will be releasing a few instructional videos also on Nov 1st! Here is a little commercial for the new markers from the Home Office….

witches Brew

Hi all!  This card was supposed to post on the 11th but I accidentally set it for 2016….sigh.  Technology is only as good as the human who uses it LOL

So it’s a tad late but I love this card!  My favorite part is the cobweb stamp on the cup.  There’s a 1/2″ cut off the front so the stripes on the inside of the card shows.  If you already own the Coffee Cafe framelits, this stamp set is a fun addition!

Coffee Cups Framelits Dies
#143745 Price: $30.00

Here is the stamp set, Merry Cafe, from the Holiday Catalog. It has fall, Halloween, Christmas, New Years and even love/Valentine option!

Merry Café Photopolymer Stamp Set #144965

I added some black sequins from the Metallic assortment.  I cut the pumpkin and the borders from the designer paper, Spooky Night.

Spooky Night Designer Series Paper #144610
Price: $11.00

Stampin’ Up has a few other samples using this versatile set!

I made 2 project videos with Merry Cafe for Stamping School for fall and Christmas, so if you are a member there be sure to watch those!
