Chickadees and berries

Hi All!   I made this chickadee card back in December and thought I had posted it but I didn’t!  I was trying some new scheduling of posts only to find out I goofed it up.

Luckily the chickadees are still here in NC and so are some of the berries that inspired this card.   We only had one weekend of snow here in western North Carolina but these cuties are still on my feeders!

I used my Cherry Stampin’ Blends markers to color my pearls for the berries.

I also added just a touch of smoky slate and crumb cake with a blender pen since chickadees are rarely pure white.   I used the Petal Palette bundle from the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog.  It’s a pricey bundle at $62 for the clear mount.  It’s a 2 box set of stamps and the framelit dies so it’s a lot of product in one bundle.  The stamps are etched so it creates a beautiful watercolor look.

I hope you are finding time to stamp today!

Linda’s Occasion Catalog Shares are Open!

Updated January 8th – Round 1 shares closed

The  upcoming Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog is FULL of exciting and new stamps, accessories and papers!  The Occasions catalog has spring inspired birthdays, valentines and weddings and begins officially on January 3rd for customers!

(If you are a customer of mine, you should have received both of these and if not, please let me know and I’ll get replacements to you. If you are new here and do not have a demonstrator, email me to get copies in the mail from me)

My Occasions Catalog Product Shares are Available to Order!

If you would like a sampler of all the papers, ribbons and accessories,  then join my product shares!  Here’s how it works: For every 8 people that sign up, I’ll divide the paper in 6×6 pieces so you get one 6×6 sheet of each style rather than having to buy a whole pack of each. If a roll of ribbon comes 10 yards, I’ll divide it between 5 people so you would get 2 yards each.   It’s a great way to get a sample of everything to try it out!

I’ll keep track and order based on the number of participants on January 3rd when ordering opens.  When it arrives, I’ll sort and cut all the pieces for you.  Then I package them up in my clear acetate boxes to keep them organized and mail them to you!  It takes approx 2-3 weeks to receive your shares in the mail.  If a product is back ordered or unavailable, I’ll keep you updated via email.

I offer free shipping on my shares since I earn host rewards and I share that savings with you as a thank you for ordering them with me. (US addresses only per SU policy)

Linda’s Stamparatus 101 Videos

Today is the day!

Back in November, I was super lucky to get this cool tool early so we could do a demonstration with it at the Stampin’ Up On Stage event in Utah for demonstrators.  I did 3 sessions in the afternoon and my demo friend Sharon Armstrong did 3 sessions in the morning along with Jessica from the home office.  We had a lot of fun playing with it, learning some tricks along the way and putting it to the test!

Today, demonstrators who participated in a program over the last few years to develop the Stamparatus can order it early and some will have it by tomorrow!

So I officially have permission from SU to share my own videos with you!

Here are 6 quick videos that I call  my Stamparatus 101 Series since I’m highlighting some tips and tricks I found while using it!

Stamparatus 4 Step Stamping

This is what it is made to do….stamp, flip, stamp, flip….using all 4 surfaces on the 2 plates!

—————————–

Stamparatus Die Cut Stamping

This is probably my favorite time-saver!  I call them ‘blanks’ and so much faster to stamp on your die cuts without running to the big shot every time!

—————————

Stamparatus Hinge Stamping

SO fun and just think of all the ombre and border designs we can use with this fun technique!

———————

Stamparatus Alignment Tips and Tricks

Report covers, clear plastic cutting boards, acetate sheets…anything clear and plastic that you can wipe off works well while getting the perfect placement!

———————-

Stamparatus Perfectly Stamped Sentiments

Those itty bitty teeny weeny greetings were the worst for me!  Now I can get the darn near perfect if not perfect every time!

——————

Stamparatus Inking Cleaning Storing

Love those stampin’ spots to use with the Stamparatus!  We have some colors that will be available in the new Occasions Catalog but I like to make my own with our ink refills.  Pack of 5 for $9.  Item #141822

Here are the miracle towels I use that I mentioned in the video.  To me, they are practically the same. Thank you Lydia Fiedler, who recommended the Absorber to me years ago!  Both are available on Amazon and will link there if you click on the photo.  They are BIG and I cut them down.  I just use water with them and rinse them out after I’m done stamping.

How to get a Stamparatus for delivery in March:

Reserve one HERE!

SU is requiring a credit card to reserve but it will not be charged until it ships.

(note: To reserve one for yourself, you will need to create a Stampin’ Up account with a login if you haven’t created one before. There will be a page to choose your demonstrator. If you want me as your demo, look for Linda Heller in NC. I will come up for Hendersonville, NC.)

Click HERE to see a PDF of what the screens will look like when you reserve your spot.

The reservation window will remain open from December 5–30 with no inventory limits!

Beginning March 19 – March 31st,  they will ship your Stamparatus in the order the reservations were received (first in, first out) and continue through the next few months and beyond as product arrives in our warehouse.

One reservation per customer and one per demonstrator.

This is the last chance to reserve a Stamparatus before it becomes available in the 2018-2019 annual catalog in June 2018

Here is a an introduction video by the home office so you can see how it works and all the features/benefits. The cost of the tool will be $49 (US) and as you can see from the video, it really helps with perfect alignment or if you are stamping multiples!

Sweet Soiree Sketch #317

I needed a pretty birthday card for a special friend of mine.  This one evolved in only 10 minutes using a card sketch!  It’s a 5×5 sized card and I needed an envelope to go with it so I created one using the Envelope punch board.  I added a belly band around the envelope since I’m hand delivering it.

The designer paper does all the work on this card!

It’s called Sweet Soiree and will be in the upcoming Occasions catalog beginning January 3rd.  It’s layered with colors like Berry Burst, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist! It’s so pretty and 6 of the sheets have a shiny, silver foil detail on them.

I used a sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches # 317 which shows a basic layout but works well when you have designer papers with a lot of pop!

I also loved the simple detail behind the square. I added a 3/4″ strip of silver foil paper and and a Rich Razzleberry card stock 1/2″ strip along the front.

If you are a member of my Stamping School, look for an alternate design with this sketch in this Sunday’s videos!

I’m one just 2 demonstrators in US to test one out early! I was asked to do a presentation with it for our ON Stage conference so I’ve been playing with it for a month now! It’s amazing what it can do and I think they will give me the ok to do some videos with it starting Dec 12th. (On Stage Fuzzy pic but it’s the only one that I know someone took!) I’ll be posting my projects when SU gives me the OK to post.
