Video: Postage Punch Windows

Hi all!

This week I used the Rectangle Postage punch for the first time.
I’ve had it since it came out and I kept forgetting about it!
I had a request for the Festive Post stamp set so I combined the two.

It’s a handy punch that coordinates with the Festive Post stamp set
in the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog:

Here’s a fun way to add a little variety to the punch and change the size up a bit!
I added a few die cut snowflakes for some wintery accents.
Watch the video below to see how easy it is to change the size of windows.

View the video by clicking on the photo below:

By the Way, this postage punch also is a bundle in the annual catalog
so if you have the punch, think about this set also since it coordinates so well:

And a few more samples for you:

Video: 45 Card Ideas

Hi all!
This weekend I’m sharing a bunch of wonderful ideas from our Stampin’ Up team
who participated in a mail-in swap to share ideas across the miles.
I hope you are as inspired to go create some cards after watching!

Most of these wonderfully creative demonstrators also do local classes
so if you need their contact information, email me and I can pass it along to them!

Thanks for stopping by!

2 Videos Using Trimming The Town Suite!

Hi all!

Many of you know that I’m moving all my private videos from Stamping School
over to youtube and here on my blog.  I filmed 2 a week for about 14 years so I’ll be reposting the recent ones here
for those that were not members over there and didn’t see them.

Since the Trimming the Town Designer paper is on on sale,
here are 2 videos showcasing this super cute paper!

Originally filmed on 09/13/2020

View/Print the Recipe PDF with measurements HERE!

This next project with video is an an accordion type fun fold with a little “road” home!
(I just love that little car!)

Here are the main products I used – A new feature is an ‘add all to cart’ button
which takes you to my store and adds the numbers in for you!
You can edit the cart once you are over to my store.  That’s a nifty feature!

I hope you find some time to create today!
It’s a rainy day here in the NC mountains but a good day to be
fussy cutting and crafting!

2015 Stampin’ Up Leadership Convention Day 2

One of our gifts for projects to stamp when we get home is the 20 card kit called Hooray It’s Your Day! Can’t wait to get home and make these!

The display boards had beautiful samples but no names on them so if one of these is yours, let me know and I’ll add your name.

As with every event, time is scarce so I don’t take the time to edit photos so I can post quickly!

These are a few of my favorites:

Hey All!  I’m in my hometown here in Orlando at the Stampin’ Up Leadership convention.  I didn’t have to travel far this time!

My Favorite swap from yesterday is from Teresa Evangelista, who made this awesome flap card!

Stampin’ Up is changing up their compensation plan for demos, moving things around, new terminology….so most of the day was focused on training us for all that! We didn’t see any stamping until 3:30 pm, when our CEO Shelli Gardner took the stage.

Here is one cute idea she shared using scraps of triangles:

You can see here how she built around the circle using hand-snipped card stock scraps:

Remember how to MASK?  This is her take on a 2-step stamp that she masked off.  She embossed the greeting in black.  I really like this one!  These samples should be up on display boards today so I can get a better look.

Our Gathering Place where all the samples and ideas are was not open til 4 and then I had to run to dinner.

I literally ran in, took this pic and had to run out!  I can’t wait to get in there this morning.

After a quick bite, the Managers and above were whisked away on buses to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a private event just for us!  As soon as we walked in we sat down to see the Fantasmic show!

Thanks Sandi Grimes for the photo – my camera wouldn’t get it!

Irresistible Backgrounds Technique Video!

Hi all! Lots to share today!

I was playing around with the new Sale-A-Bration paper called Irresistibly Yours and found that when I stamped first, then brayered it, I loved it more!

irresistibly pics

Here’s a video I made for you showing how I did it:

Here is my project I made with the top pattern.  I’ll be posting another one on Stamping School this coming weekend using the Olive vines, so if you are a member there be sure to watch for it.

I love the new wedding suite in the Occasions catalog!  The stamp set is called Your Perfect Day and it’s available in wood, clear mount AND photopolymer!  There is a background set in there also called Something Lacy that I used.  The Irresistibly Yours 12×12 paper is free with a $50 order during Sale a Bration (now thru March 31st, 2015)

Here is a video using the same paper from the SU home office  about how to sponge it, spritz or color it with markers

New Photopolymer Set!

This one is called an Angel Policy set because of the little copyright Stampin’ Up at the bottom of each one. For those that want to sell your handmade cards in a store or online, these are required by SU to be stamped on the back.

Of course these are just ADORABLE for everyday creations!  Look at the snail mail and the yarn for knitters….I’m ordering one now!  Who’s with me?

Ready to ring in the stampin’ New Year….

In a few days, we will say goodbye to 2014 and the Holiday catalogs, which end on January 5th

HolidayCatalogTH_0714_NA  merry supplement

and say hello to 2015 with the new SU Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs!

  20150106_Occasions_en-US  20150106_SAB_en-US

If you haven’t rec’d yours in the mail from me and you were expecting one, please email me.  You should have received both by now but they do get lost sometimes. I cannot post the digital copies here until they go live on January 6th but I’m happy to mail you one if you do not have an SU demo.

If you look on page 49 of the Occasions catalog, you will see some items carrying over.  (some have an * and are while supplies last so be sure to check that)

Some of my favorites NOT carrying over (altho SU could surprise us and put them in the next annual catty)  are these gems below.  If you want to add them to your collection by January 5th, call or email or order them online quickly!  There are more things not carrying over in the catalog, but these were my favorites that I’m sad to see go:

A few more days left on our year end close-outs!  Many are from the Holiday catalog, which ends January 5th.

year end

On the right side of my shopping cart, you will see a drop down option to sort by Newest or < Price, so you see what is the cheapest.

Nice to be able to sort by what you want to see!  Doing a quick looksie,  here are a few things that I added to my own stash:

I added the stars stamp set because they are photopolymer and they go inside the star framelits so nicely.

The Trim the Tree paper stack is a really nice traditional Cherry/Green patterned paper and for only 4.19.

Under the Tree specialty paper is a thick, card stock like patterned paper perfect for boxes.  It’s kraft/white print on one side and espresso or cherry or garden green prints on the other side.

The card kits are really super for only 3.99!   You get 8 cards, envelopes and liners,  buttons, twine and the cut banner to create whatever you want for your holiday cards next year.  Add any greeting or tree or ornament stamp and it’s all cut for you!

Everything is ‘while supplies last’ so don’t wait too long.

I love that stamp set and the flower punch is nice also if you have the coordinating stamp set.

I’ll be back to work, posting samples and videos after the New Year!

I hope however you ring in the New Year, you will be safe and warm!

Sneak Peek: Gift Card Thinlits Video

gift card thinlit LH

I love the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog!

I know some might say “oh, of course Linda has to say that, she’s a demonstrator, she’s supposed to say that!” but seriously, my friends that have seen it and my team, all say the same thing. THIS is a good one.

I think they should be arriving to customers by the 3rd week in August and it goes LIVE on August 28th!  Plenty of time to start thinking about Halloween, Thanksgiving and Winter/Christmas – all things in the Holiday catty.

As demonstrators, we get to order early to play with the new products and take for a test drive.

I played a bit with the new Gift Card thinlit set and the Nordic designer paper and made a video for you:

If you want the recipe and cutting measurements, I have it stored on my Stamping School free video page.  Once you are there, click the video and the PDF links are right under the video frame.

Hope you like it!
