Local Card Buffet & Updates

Hi all!

I have 4 updates for you today.   For local floridian stampers,  I have our annual Card Buffet Stamp a Stack coming up this weekend (December 4th, afternoon)  and we have seats still open!  If you are on my email list for local classes, you should have received it but if you didn’t, drop me an email and I will resend to you.

The Card Buffet is fun because YOU choose which designs you’d like to make from our 8 choices, along with how many of each you’d like to make.  Then I cut up your personalized package and have it ready for you when you arrive.   This is one of the easy designs I have planned:

To see the other classes on my December schedule including my annual 6xt6 Year In The Life album, visit my calendar of events at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/lindaheller/

Update #2!

If you are a Stamping School member, you should be enjoying our new site! (if you haven’t seen it, check it out – I think it’s a fun website!)

We worked hard this past year to completely rebuild and make some major changes, including being Ipad, Iphone and Droid friendly.   We hope you like it and we are coming up on our 5 year anniversary already and just expanded into our 15th country!  Matt’s just as excited and loves to answer the phone anytime he can to chat with members.

We often get asked “Can I see what’s inside Stamping School before I join?”  Since we keep the projects exclusive and off the public view, it’s tough to give potential members a peek before signing up for a full year for $35.

We have a fix for that!  You can now enroll for a one month membership for only $5 .   Try us out and enjoy it for 30 days.  If  you like what you learn, join us for the year!  Just look for the One Month Trial Membership in the  shopping cart.

Update #3!

Stampin’ Up’s annual Sale-A-Bration is just around the corner,  January 24th – March 31st!  It’s the biggest Gift With Purchase that SU has each year and we all look forward to it.  Along with that, the new Occasions Mini Catalog will be out January 1st!  Wait til you SEE the new ACCESSORIES!!!  Seriously fun stuff.  As demonstrators, we can preorder during December and all I can say is that I’m going to be putting in a mongo big order since there are so many things to love in it.

If you have ordered from me in the past year, you get one in the mail automagically.  If you are needing a nice demonstrator and don’t have one already to send you one, fill out this form on my website here  (you may have to click on Contact Me, upper right corner)  so I have your mailing address or email me at lindastamps@cfl.rr.com

Update #4! (last but still important…)

Only ONE MORE DAY to get great deals on SU goodies!    Go HERE!

That’s it for now!  Thanks for tuning in and happy stamping!

Button Buddies: Tic Tac Button Pack Snail

For those just tuning in, I’m posting a series from the stamp set Button Buddies (from the new Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog)  It’s a really  cute and versatile set!  Scroll down to the posts below to see more ideas.

Here is a fun way to give buttons as a “love ya” or a hostess gift.  I love Tic Tacs so saving the containers and going green is a plus plus for me!  I call them Tic Tac Button Packs and here is a post making one (with a video) 3 years ago .    The snail and flower from Button Buddies was perfect to jazz up the front!

I used  the new Berry Blossoms DSP (front and back) , Early Espresso Ink, Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder ink.  I stamped the flower 2x , cut out the inner part to glitter and pop up, adding our new polka dot brad.

Button Buddies Video: Fall Pumpkin

created by Linda Heller

I love fall colors,  pumpkins and cooler weather.  When are we going to get a break from this heat!  After making this little fall card, I’m dreaming of when I can open my windows again and eat pumpkin pie 🙂

(note to Stamping School Members:  Since some of you are asking, yes I will be archiving all of this Button Buddy series on Stamping School.  Since they are not exclusive and are public blog videos, they won’t count as our weekly private videos so they will just go in as extras!   I will also be uploading the PDF with all of these with cutting measurements and recipes for members.)

Video!

Thanks for watching! Linda

Button Buddies Video: Snowman

created by Linda Heller

I love this little guy! Here is another one of my Button Buddies Series I did for the SU convention booth on buttons.  I used the Flirtatious DSP Doily for snowflake.  The colors are Poppy and Pool Party.  The greeting is from a jumbo wheel called Jolly Jingles.

Later I added 2 little rhinestones to his ‘button holes’ on his tummy!

Here is the video!

This adorable, versatile stamp set is called Button Buddies.  Stampin’ Up sent it to me to make samples for the Buttons Booth at convention.  I’ll be uploading at least 5 videos and more samples this week from my demonstration there.

Today I’m highlighting the cherries!

Here is the video!

You can order Button Buddies (and buttons, and the scallop envelope and all other supplies) on my SU Website HERE or just give me a call or email!

Stampcation Demo: Shantaie’s Magnet Board

I’m playing catch up this week after our big Stampcation event here in FL.     I tried to video most of the demos that were on stage that day.  It’s a LIVE video with little edits and with  100 demonstrators having fun,  it is a loud video!  Shantaie, my Stampcation partner, demonstrated this great magnetic board and a little organization trick:

The Specialty Designer paper she used is in the Holiday Mini catalog and is called Autumn Spice – love it!

Presto Chango!

Miss me?  Just making a funny  – I’m not that much of an egomaniac to think you’ve been checking every day to see what’s new but I did get one email asking if I was still alive!   Thankfully, yes although Matt and I have had a roller coaster of a month.  After being back from the Stampin’ Up cruise only a week, I got the call that my Aunt Julie died in Michigan (my dad’s older sister) and we got back on a plane to take care of things.  Julie never married, no children and had worked for the State Department her whole life.  She lived overseas in exotic places until she retired to a house on Lake Michigan.  She despised the cold weather so I still got to see her in FL every year!   We spent the week reflecting, clearing out her home, donating things, a little service with neighbors and settling affairs .   She taught me how to play Scrabble and in the last years, I finally was able to win some games (much to her chagrin, having been in a Scrabble group where they played in 3 languages!)   She was fabulous, frustrating, generous, stubborn and a real lady all in one.   I’ll miss her.

So!  On to happier stamping notes…

I had a request to do a video on the new Presto Patterns Specialty paper in the Summer Mini Catalog for Stamping School. While I normally don’t post those videos here, I decided to do an extra video this week (so the members still got their usual 2 exclusive projects) and share this one with you.  It’s really neat paper to alter and in this video, I ‘colorize’ it 6 ways.

(If viewing this post  from your email,  you may need to click here to see the video at the blog)

The Retiring Stamp List comes out June 1st!  If you haven’t ordered your favorite ink refills for your retiring color ink pads you have, better call or email me before the end of this month!

All Four Corners: Getting Punchy Video

Another NEW and cool product coming out in the Stampin’ Up 2010 Occasions Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog is a new punch.  Actually, 4 punches.  There are 2 new corner punches and coordinating edge punches, so you can punch a border all around  your project!

Stampin’ Up is supposed to be creating a video for demonstrators to show us how to use it, but it’s not out yet and I had to hunker down and play with them.  It seemed to work great for me using specific sizes of paper but I wanted it to work with any size of paper.  So in walks Matt ( my stampin’ husband aka Man Card Man and Big Shot Hero guy) and he gets intrigued to help me figure it out.   Within about 10 minutes he does as I look on amazed and wonder why HE isn’t the demonstrator!  Anyway,  in this video I show you part One and he shows you part Two with his method:
