In a few days, we will say goodbye to 2014 and the Holiday catalogs, which end on January 5th
and say hello to 2015 with the new SU Occasions and Sale-a-Bration Catalogs!
If you haven’t rec’d yours in the mail from me and you were expecting one, please email me. You should have received both by now but they do get lost sometimes. I cannot post the digital copies here until they go live on January 6th but I’m happy to mail you one if you do not have an SU demo.
If you look on page 49 of the Occasions catalog, you will see some items carrying over. (some have an * and are while supplies last so be sure to check that)
Some of my favorites NOT carrying over (altho SU could surprise us and put them in the next annual catty) are these gems below. If you want to add them to your collection by January 5th, call or email or order them online quickly! There are more things not carrying over in the catalog, but these were my favorites that I’m sad to see go:
I added the stars stamp set because they are photopolymer and they go inside the star framelits so nicely.
The Trim the Tree paper stack is a really nice traditional Cherry/Green patterned paper and for only 4.19.
Under the Tree specialty paper is a thick, card stock like patterned paper perfect for boxes. It’s kraft/white print on one side and espresso or cherry or garden green prints on the other side.
The card kits are really super for only 3.99! You get 8 cards, envelopes and liners, buttons, twine and the cut banner to create whatever you want for your holiday cards next year. Add any greeting or tree or ornament stamp and it’s all cut for you!
Everything is ‘while supplies last’ so don’t wait too long.

A few good things this week!
I love that stamp set and the flower punch is nice also if you have the coordinating stamp set.
Click on the items below to see them in my shopping cart for details.
The Label flip card die is a great deal at $8 off. I know a lot of you have the circle flip die so this is a less expensive way to add another to your collection of those.
And Yippee Skippee is on sale, too! Don’t miss your chance to have a stamp that says I Freakin’ Love You (someone must love that saying somewhere because it’s a big seller!)
The new heart punch is on sale, the Sweetheart punch, was added in this year’s catalog. It’s a little more curvy than the regular heart punch. There’s a coordinating stamp set (not on sale) that you may like with the punch:
Tomorrow I’m off to the gorgeous St. George, Utah for the SU Founders trip. I’m grateful to have earned this Top 100 trip again this year and can’t wait to see what’s in store for us! I’ve made 113 of the same card and on the PJ night, we’ll swap with each other so I’ll come home with 113 different ones.
Here is the packet that came in the mail from SU with my luggage tags and agenda. The theme for this year, Home for the Holidays, sounds like hot cocoa in a lodge:)
I’ll be posting once a day from there and probably more often on my Stamping School Facebook page, so if you are on FB, pop on over there.
If you like boys, you will love the new Dear Heart set and I personally LOVE the new Christmas set! (there is a typo on that one, not 60 stamps!) Print flyer to see true size of stamps.
Wait until August and get bundles free with purchase!!
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to purchase a Big Shot, that time is August! When you buy a Big Shot during the month of August, you’ll receive your choice of one of five FREE exclusive stamp set and Framelits bundles–that’s up to a $60 US value absolutely free! Quite the deal and you can’t beat our warranty on our machines – best out there!
If you already own a Big Shot, we’re also offering a 15-percent discount on select bundles with framelits like Word Bubbles, Deco Labels, Chalk Talk, Florals and Stars!
These are on sale from July 8th – July 14th only! Click HERE to read details in my store.

Blendabilities are a BIG Hit!
Several are available to purchase now. As demonstrators we can now get the remaining colors early and they are really awesome, too! You will LOVE the Navy group, the Wisteria and the Grays….those are my favorites! I’ll let you know when those are available.
If you missed my post about which ones are carrying over and to see 5 new project videos from SU about the Blendabilities, see my post HERE.
I have officially mailed out the NEW 2014-2015 Stampin UP catalogs to all who have requested one here on the blog or otherwise.
I mailed them all out on Monday, so if you have not received yours by today, please email me! Over the years I’ve learned about 5% never make it.
Those of you I’m seeing this week, you will get yours in person.
“PIN-spired”
In the wee hours, if I find the Ipad on my nightstand, I might visit Pinterest. If I’m feeling unorganized, there’s a million ways to solve any problem. If I’m feeling plump that day, I may look for healthy recipes. If I’m feeling lonely, I look at boston terrier puppies….Pinterest is the fix for just about mood 🙂
Sometimes I look through the stamping and papercrafting, save a few for inspiration.
Sadly, this one had no name or watermark on it, as it often happens on Pinterest. I loved the color combo of Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron. We don’t have the eyelets or that stamp anymore, but I made my own version of it.
Here’s my “PIN-spired” version:
I used the stamp set in the Occasions catalog called So Very Grateful, which will not be carrying over into the new catty so if you want it, get it before June 1st.
16.95 Clear Mount, # 133053
Pansy Punch for the flower, Bird Builder punch for the leaves. We have a super cool new DSP coming out in the new catty called Typeset – thin newsprinty paper that will be SO useful for lots of projects.
Thank you for the inspiration, wherever you are!

We have a new Photopolymer Stamp Set, Limited Availability which means while supplies last:
Super cute, I bought one. Cake measures 1″ wide x 1-3/4″ tall to give you an idea of size or you can print the flyer HERE for true size.
27 stamps, 13.95 Photopolymer

Here are this week’s weekly deals from Stampin’ UP:
I just received my pre-order of the NEW Blendabilities! Aren’t they pretty? They will be available sometime in June hopefully with our new catalog. Sets of 3, $11.95 a pack. (US)
There must be some chatter out there about these because over the weekend, I had 5 emails asking me what they are and when they are coming so I made a quick video:
(if viewing from your email, you may need to come to blog to see video)
They don’t take the place of our current markers, which are water based. These are alcohol based like Copics and will offer another coloring medium for SU lovers that coordinates with all of our colors easily.
Skin Tones, Set of 6 will be 22.95 when they are available.
This is a great example of how the Blendabilities work better then regular markers direct to paper. On the left is using the new alcohol markers. On the right, regular markers.
*by the way, I talked about the color remover. It really should be called a Color Mover – it doesn’t erase as much as ‘scoot’ it back into your coloring area. Wanted to clarify that as some people thought I meant it was an eraser. It did erase other spots for me if I went back and forth with it but not red!
I got a little crazy with the velcro dots but it does keep them all together until I find a better storage solution!
Be sure to use only Memento Tuxedo Black Ink with the Blendabilities, not StazOn which bleeds. The new Memento pad and refill will be available to customers June 2nd.
Goofing around on other papers with the new markers….SU suggests Whisper White.
Memento took 15 minutes to dry on vellum but it did dry eventually!
Another example of how vivid the new markers are! The left and middle were done with ink/blender pen and aquapainter/ink pad. The right is the Cherry Cobbler set of 3 Blendabilities.
Now for something you can buy this week!
Good from 5/6-5/12 Only
My thoughts on the deals this week….
I love the stitched ribbon, sad that it is going. Great deal on that ribbon since you get 10 yards! Perfect for bdays and holidays. The hearts a flutter stamp set is great but you will want the framelits to go with it – #130159 $24.95
So the deals this week may cost you a little more since you need things to go with them 🙂
Stampin’ Up introduced 2 new photo-polymer stamp sets today. (those are the see-through clear stamps that come on a sheet with no case) They are both on trend with their hand drawn, doodled style. To see the flyer to print their true size (both on one sheet), click HERE
Sweetie Pie, Set of 12 for 13.95 # 136849
(I do hope they come out with the rest of their bodies soon:)
Sweetie Pie Frames Set of 14 for $13.95 # 137121
and on to this Week’s Weekly Deals! Some good ones this week, too…
To see them individually, go HERE . Once there, click on each item for description and item number. Of course here are m 2 cents on this week’s deals. The circles dies are a good deal but you get more circles with our Circles Collection Framelits instead. If you are wanting to cut fabric or metals or thicker craft materials, then these dies are the way to go.
The Dress form Pop -n Cuts will need the base to pop into. See page 188, for 39.95. You will also need extended cutting plates for your Big Shot to cut it all.
Love the 2 embossing folders and the Set of 2 mini folders on sale this week. The mini set of 2 measure 4-1/2″ x 2-7/8″ each and the oval coordinates with the Extra-Large oval punch we still sell.
The Peek-a-boo die is a great deal, too. I still use mine and it can’t go out of style. It creates windows and doors, perfect for Advent calendars, etc. Uses standard cutting plates.
Off to work on this week’s Stamping School videos. I have NO idea what to create this week and being on vacation has gotten me off my stamping mojo. Send me some artsy vibes!
Click on Weekly Deals or you can browse the clearance rack, too!
Matt and I have our 9 year anniversary this week! On our first date we ate dinner then walked over to a book store. We sat on a bench and looked at magazines together. I showed him stamp magazines and explained what I did and he showed me Drum magazines. Kind of a funny thing to do on a first date but it was so easy and comfortable that I knew he was special. (AND the fact that he didn’t snicker when I showed him the stamp magazines!)
On to the stamps!
This is a Z fold card I stamped recently, using the Vivid Vases, watercolor paper, and modern Medley. I colored with inks and Aquapainters.
LOVE this swap I received from Kimberly Allen. She used Core’dinations paper embossed with the mosaic folder, sanded and watercolored the Peaceful Petals flowers.
See how she colored the leaf in yellow first then added green? Really makes it pop.
Remmeber the old technique Spirelli? Julie Ross, a demo on our team here in FL, made this fun card.
Note from Linda: This framelit is also offered as a bundle with the coordinating stamp set, Backyard Basics page 79. To get the stamp set with this deal, order Clear Mount # 129528 or wood mount # 129255
The clear mount bundle with stamp set and framelits is 36.50. Using this weekly deal and ordering seperately is 36.66 so it’s 16 cents more. I would highly suggest getting the bundle instead with the coordinating stamp set!
There are LOTS of other products not offered in the big catalog or the Occasions seasonal catalog. Hard to keep up with it all so here are quick links in case you missed something:
Stampin’ Up’s gift with purchase is still going on thru March 31st! Spend $50 and choose one of 12 free gifts.
Go HERE to see what you get free and read all about extra perks. If you have been thinking about being a hobby or business demonstrator, there’s a sign up bonus of $25 more product in your kit!
There’s a new card making kit called “Hip Hip Hooray”. 20 cards for $19.95! See the details HERE
There is a new photopolymer set called “Sans And Stripes” to add to the ever growing photopolymers.
