Peep Show and a few stampin’ updates!

Maybe not the peep show you thought of at first:)
I created this little peep window box using the Share What you Love
Designer paper.  These peeps come 2 rows high, sort of an odd size
so I just cut the 12 x 12 paper in 1/2 at 6″ and then scored it 3-1/2, 4-1/2 and 10″.  then added a 2″ x 6″ piece of window sheet for the peeps.
Then I added a 3/4″ x 6″ strip along the bottom edge of window sheet so I could add the 3/4″ circles and brads for a closure. Easy!

The peeps just slide out the side or untie the string to open.

I really wanted to eat one but they are a present for our 5 yr old niece:)

April 15th:    Annual Catalog and Occasions Catalog Retiring List
Stampin’ Up retires about 1/2 of the catalog to make room for new!

Stampin’ Up Trimmer is retiring
From what I can gather, the manufacturer either can’t make them anymore for us or there are issues.  Either way, we will have a new cutter sometime this year.  If you bought the trimmer from me, email me to get some replacement blades while they are in stock.

New Annual Catalogs Mailed out in May!
If you have ordered from me in the last 6 months,
you will automatically get one from me!

If  your address has changed or you do not need one from me,
email me with your update.

If you are new here and would like to be on my customer list,
email me with your name and address.
(demonstrators, you will get a complimentary copy from SU)

That’s all for now!   Go stamp something!

Organize your crafting space!

Your space. Your way.
That’s the tagline for the new storage pieces by Stampin’ Up!
I think it’s a great they are offering something for home organization.  There’s a lot of options out there but I like that these are customized to our new ink pads.
Whether you own 5 ink pads or all of our colors,
you can customize the cubes to fit your workspace!

These are available today for demonstrators AND customers!
You will also see them in the upcoming annual catalog in June!

I ordered mine today so I’ll report back after I play with them. I love that they are white!  I have some storage trays for my blends that are black and show every speck of dust.

Here are the individual pieces available:

** I bought 2 of these to hold all of our blends!    Each pack holds 30 markers.

These 2 are lids that can go on top of the other pieces.
The topper holds stuff, the lid just covers.

Here is a cute stop-motion video from the home office:

Stampin’ Up also created a Configuration chart that may help figure out what you need for your space.  You can download/view it HERE

Helpful Q&A about the new Storage:

Will old-design Stampin’ Pads fit in the Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays?
No, the Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays are designed to fit our new-design Stampin’ Pads only.

How high can I stack storage trays?
We stacked up to 50 storage trays without any issues, BUT we would not recommend stacking that high. While our Storage by Stampin’ Up! products are sturdy, the higher you stack them, the less stable they’ll become.

Can I mount my Storage by Stampin’ Up! products on the wall
No, our modular storage products are designed to sit on a table (or similar flat surface).

How should I use the Open Storage Cube?
The Open Storage Cube can be used to hold any miscellaneous items like ribbon, embellishments, and smaller sized punches.  We are sure you will find it useful!

Can I mix and match Storage by Stampin’ Up! products?
Yes! Our Storage by Stampin’ Up! products are modular and designed with customization in mind.

Do I need a Storage Lid for each 5-tray stack?
No. The Storage Lid covers the top of Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays, Stampin’ Blends Storage Trays, and Open Storage Cubes, so you need only one per storage configuration.

Are Storage by Stampin’ Up! products free-standing or stacked?
Both. We designed these modular storage products to be free-standing and stackable, so you can customize your crafting space to work best for you.

Will there be expansions to the Storage by Stampin’ Up! product line in the future?  Possibly!  We’d love your suggestions!

Are there any Storage by Stampin’ Up! bundles available?
Not currently because the pieces are so versatile to each individual’s space!

How many Stampin’ Ink Refills can I store in the Storage Topper?
You can store up to 20 Stampin’ Ink Refills (or other small items) in the Storage Topper.

Are ink pads difficult or easy to remove from Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays?
Easy! When you insert an ink pad into a storage tray, a small portion of the ink pad will stick out. We designed it this way, so your ink pads will be both secure and easy to access.

What material do you use to make Storage by Stampin’ Up! products?
Our modular storage products are made with white, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic, which is a lightweight and durable material.

Once I get them in my hands, I’ll do another post!

Next stop in April is our Annual Catalog Retirement list!
I think it will be around April 15th like last year.
I’m heading to Charlotte, NC on April 13th
for the Stampin’ Up On Stage event where we will get to see the new catalog!
Always an exciting time to see the new products and demo friends.

Retiring In Colors and Blends Coordination

As I’m preparing for our 207-2019 In Colors to retire this year, I’m enjoying all the Tranquil Tide color I can!  I hope they bring this one back, it truly is the perfect blue green!

The 5 In colors going away are Tranquil Tide, Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist.  They work together so nicely but that Tranquil Tide will be hard to replace for me.

The Retiring stamps/accessories list should be out around April 15th so be SURE to get those ink refills if you have the pads
BEFORE then as they tend to sell out quickly!
They are all 3.75 each.

Berry Burst ink refill #144089
Powder Pink ink refill #144090
Lemon Lime Twist ink refill #144092
Tranquil Tide ink refill #144091
Fresh Fig ink refill #144088

I’ll post the other retiring In Colors at the
bottom of this post along with a bundle deal for you!

I was making several of these cards using just those In Colors
together.  Adding the 6×6 In Color paper stack is easy coordination and makes quick and easy cards.  I used a flower set called All That You Are, in the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog. I colored the flowers with our Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.  Even though we don’t have those exact named colors in the alcohol markers, here is how I coordinated them:

This light pink was the hardest to match but once I blended them together, it was pretty good!  I love that our alcohol markers have the 2 shades so they are more than just their given name.

So back to the Retiring Colors…..
I have a bundle going while all these are still available.  If you own these 5 In Colors, you may need the ink refills and some of the coordinating accessories before they go.
They MAY go on sale for the retiring list, I’m not sure so I’m adding a bundle now of my staples to have:

2 Packs of the assorted 8-1/2 x 11 card stock assortment, one pack of buttons, the designer paper plus
all 5 ink refills, and your choice of color for one roll of the ruffled ribbon for $60!  (includes tax and shipping, a bundled savings of $10!)
Offer only through me – email me to request Linda’s In Color Bundle!
Offer available now  – April  5th!
If you order before March 31st, Sale a Bration freebies can still be earned!

The 8-1/2 x 11 In Colors card stock (also avail in 12×12)
$8.50  20 sheets, 4 each of the 5 colors.  #144247

The 6×6 In Color Designer papers   $11  40 6×6 sheets in all 5 colors.

These cute, flat buttons in all 5 colors!  $7 for 25 buttons #146931

Mini Ruffled Ribbons $8 each roll of 10 yards, 5 colors.

Here are some other add-ons available to order if you don’t have them already:
Retirning In Color Markers $15  #144043

or individually for 7.50 each.

Someone is Thinking of You Today…

Seems every week I hear about someone in the hospital, going through hard times with family, job problems, health issues.  Sometimes it seems like I make more of these kinds of cards than birthday cards.  What I love about card making is that creating them helps me DO something when it’s hard to know what to say or do.

I made 4 of these yesterday, using this simple, classic layout.  The mushrooms are cheery and make me smile so I hope it cheers up the recipient, too.

I used the Sale-a-Bration paper, Painted Seasons.   It has those cute mushrooms but also pretty flowers and another pattern that would work for fall/winter.   I used a 3″ x 4″ piece as my main image, layered on 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Early Espresso.  I used Poppy Parade as the large layer, 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered to a Thick Whisper White standard size, 4-1/4″ x 11.

The Patterned 1″ strip is the other side of the mushroom print.

Free with a $50 order thru March (while supplies last)
#149574  12×12, 12 sheets – 4 designs 3 sheets each.

I did add a few little poppy butterflies from the Beauty Abounds dies.
It’s an easy layout you can adapt to any patterned paper.

I’m off to the mailbox

Under the Dome…

I started out this morning to create something with the
Hello Cupcake stamps and framelits (coming out March 1st)
but my brain is home decor-land right now as we have been
renovating our whole kitchen lately.  We’ve taken down a wall, replaced the floor, new cabinets, new appliances and now I’m buying the pretty things to put around.
(the fun stuff, right?)

I’ve been seeing a lot of succulents under glass domes,
so that was my inspiration.

The Hello Cupcake stamp set is free with a $50 purchase right now.  On March 1st, Stampin’ Up is offering a coordinating framelit set!  It cuts out the cupcake and has cute candles, picks AND this glass dome with stand!

I used the dome with clear acetate window sheets.
I cut the stand from woodgrain paper.

For my succulents, I used the free Sale-a-bration stamp set
called  Painted Seasons.  I inked in Pear Pizzazz and sponged on a little Melon Mambo on the edges before stamping on the white card stock.
The branch is from Colorful Seasons dies.
The designer paper is from Painted Seasons Bundle.

Tip: I glued just the bottom of the acetate under the stand
and one glue dot at the top of dome.

Here are my supplies for stamps/accessories I used:

I’ll be back on Friday when the Coordinating items go on sale!
Scroll down or click here to see my post for those.
