Hi all!  I made these 2 cards a while back for a sketch challenge using the Stampin’ Up scallop tag topper punch.

I do love that Woodgrain background stamp!  Everything on these are Stampin’ Up:

For this one below, I used So Saffron card stock and ink with the Woodgrain stamp.  I punched the tag from the embossed SU paper called Naturals Composition. Coral, Garden Green and Saffron markers for the flower (from Simple Stems)  and Baked Brown Sugar ink for greeting.

The card below is square, 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.  Crumbcake card stock and ink for the woodgrain stamp, Pacific Point for the circle image. (I haven’t used Pacific in a really long time!)  Soft Suede cs for the scalloped tag, embossed with the honeycomb folder. The little gold pearls are just the white pearls and I colored them with my gold Sharpie pen. Then I threw a few sequins on there.

Where’s the flower stamp from?  Serene Silhouettes, page 64 of the SU annual catalog.  I hadn’t used that stamp from the set at all but the others are well used!

 weekly deals

Here are this week’s Stampin’ Up Weekly Deals!  4/8-4/14 Only.

weekly deals 4-8

Here’s my 2 cents on this week’s deals:

I think the Punch Pack is a staple! I use those 3 a LOT.  I’m worried they are on sale since it may mean they are retiring in May when the Retiring stamps list comes out.  I hope not or if they do, I sure hope they replace them with something as great!

The sparkle glimmer brads (they should really be called glitter brads) are fun but the legs sometimes stick together.  I have to use my paper piercer to pry them open since they are ‘glimmered’ all the way down the legs.  Annoying but the brads look nice once you get them on the card 🙂

Can’t go wrong with Baker’s Twiner, ever.

The Gingham Wheel is a nice border.  I unmounted mine and use it on a block (members, see my video in Stamping School)

I used the SU mounting foam after I ripped it off the wheel.  I use them so much more that way!

That “make a cake” stamp set is small.  I got it free at a conference 2 years ago and it’s still unused.  The tiny butterflies are useful but I have yet to use the cake.  Maybe it’s just me.

The Secret Garden framelits go with the Secret Garden stamp set on page 94 and also 2 of the stamps from the Simple Stems in the Occasions catalog on page 33.  I hope this means that they are making more flowers to coordinate with it for the next catalog?
