linda heller paper weaving

I saw a scrapbook page sketch using this paper strip weaving idea and thought it was a cool background for a card.  It’s easy to do, uses very little patterned paper and gives it some neat interest.  I think you could it for just about any occasion but I wanted to a sweetheart card using the new Going Places suite.

Product List

I also created a video for Stamping School using the new Tea set called Have a Cuppa bundle in the Stampin’ Up Occasions catalog.  If you are a member of SS, go check it out!  Remember my team and customers get access free and everyone else can try it out for a month for only $5.

Ok, on to the card!    The colors I used are Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  The ink is Lost Lagoon.

Black card base is 4-1/4″ x 11, scored in landscape position at 5-1/2″ for a top fold card. The vanilla card stock layer is 4″ x 5-1/4″ and the Dijon card stock layer is 3-3/4″ x 5″.

You will need 3 strips that are 1/2″ x 3″ and 3 strips that are 1/2″ x 3-1/2″.  Mix and match!

Here is a quick video:
