final-31Hello Emerald Envy!  Definately going to be one of my favorites while it’s in season.  It’s one of the new Stampin’ Up In colors during 2016-2018 for paper, ink and accessories.  Emerald has been a HOT color for a few years.  Truthfully I was expecting it in last year’s In Colors but it’s even more popular now:

It’s gotta be hard to keep coming out with new colors!  After a while, they start to look alike.  This new Emerald is fresh and bright with a touch of blue.  You can really see it here comparing to our other greens:

We had a Glorious Green years ago, it might be closer to that.

Here are some of my Emerald Envy displays from the 2016 On Stage event:

I do LOVE these polka dot glassine bags!  They are still available right now but they are on the retired list.  In the new catalog, there will be plain glassine bags, which will be nice also for embossing.  These are called Sketched Dots Tag a Bag Gift Bags.   I slide a card in backwards so it’s solid and looks nice with the decorated front.  I used the Botanical bundle to decorate with the Emerald and the new Peekaboo Peach card stock.

The next few samples I made using a new set coming out in the annual catalog called Love You Lots.

This is a little 4-1/4″ square card using the frog.  The Emerald striped paper is from the 2016-2018 paper stack with the 4 patterns.  (avail June 1 as is the new Ruched Ribbon!)

final-37

I stamped the frog on whisper white, sponged him and then fussy cut him out. I used my blender pen with smoky slate to ground him with a light shadow.

Here are 2 using the ladybugs.  I like to imagine they do this in real life, standing and hugging atop flowers:)

final-32

(side note: another use for WD-40….photo prop!)

final-33

In both of them, I fussy cut the flower or leaf and glued down.  Then I stamped the lady bugs on the flower and again on red card stock.  I cut out just the bodies and glued on top of the stamped image so I didn’t have to cut out the legs and ‘antlers’.

final-28

When I first saw the elephant and mouse, I knew I had to make a zoo cage of some sort.  Yes, I do believe the mouse can really bust him out of there because that’s what friends do:)

final-34

I stamped the mouse on the Emerald ‘grass’ and then stamped him on Sahara sand and cut him out and glued over the stamped image.

I hope you like the new Emerald Envy, coming soon June 1st!

Here are a few things that I used that are still available now:

Go Stamp Something!
