SU Holiday catty

It’s hard to believe that the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalogs will be arriving to your mailboxes any day now!  It’s a big seasonal catalog and FULL of fun accessories, new dies and stamps of course!

If you have ordered from me this year, you should automatically get one from me. If you haven’t (and you aren’t already a demonstrator) and would like one mailed to you, please email me with your mailing address at linda@stampingschool.com

I’d love to send you one and share all the new creativity in it!

Ordering for customers begins September 1st!

I’ve had a super busy few weeks and I know I haven’t posted here as much but I’m still posting 2 videos a week on Stamping School!  If you are a member, you should still be hearing my voice every week:)   My ordering customers and my SU team get access to my video library FREE, with over 1100 videos for online learning!

Stampin’ Up posted some sneak peek videos of some Holiday Catalog products on their YouTube channel.  If you haven’t seen them yet, here are a few (you may need to come to my blog to view if you are viewing in your email)

Forever Evergreen Project Kit

forever Green

This one is interesting to me and I think would be fun project to do with family, scout troops or clubs.  Decorate your mantelpiece with festive trees!  This kit makes three trees in two sizes—one 13″ (33 cm) tall, two 11″ (27.9 cm) tall—each individually trimmed with handmade ornaments. See for yourself in the video below:

Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

cable SU

This is an embossing folder that is new to SU!  It’s called a ‘Dynamic’ folder because it is super dimensional. In fact, it is so thick that you only need one cutting plate in your sandwich rather than 2!

You can really see the difference from the left side (regular) to the right side (dynamic)

ann F cable

Look at this beautiful card Ann Fitzgerald created!  Ann is on my team in PA and  I love how she used the cable folder behind her main panel.  She used a new stamp set called Tin of Tags and dies called Pretty Pines.  You can see more of Ann’s stamping on her blog at http://annscreativemoments.com

Watch the SU video below to see how it works and then also see my test results below:

Isn’t it cool?  I did a quick test using my folder and paper spritzed with water, alcohol and then nothing but the embossing folder:

linda cable test

I couldn’t tell a difference using water or alcohol vs nothing!  The alcohol spritzed paper dried faster of course but once they were all dry, no difference for my eyes!

The 2 most important things to remember using the Dynamic folders are to use only one plate instead of 2 plates AND to put the spine in first through the machine, as with all folders (to prevent your folder from splitting)

Off to create something and I hope you get to stamp this weekend!

Linda
