I LOVE plaid, especially big and chunky buffalo plaid like this on a gift box or bag!

(By the way, Matt and I saw real buffalo in South Dakota a few weeks ago and wow, big and majestic!  The snorting, the thick fur and those eyes…. really impressive!)

Making boxes is very easy to do with just a little scoring and cutting the flaps.

Bottom of box:   8″ x 8″.  Score at 2” on all four sides. Cut flaps just like photo above.

Top of box: 6” x 6”.  Score at 1″ on all four sides. Cut flaps just like photo above.

 Belly band: 1” x 12”

Buffalo Plaid is still popular in fashion and home decor. Just google images for it and you will see a ton of stuff! Aren’t those ornaments cute? (found those at pottery barn)

The deer pillow is what inspired my box. The deer die is from Santa’s Sleigh from Stampin’ Up. Right now Stampin’ Up also this holiday paper called Merry Little Christmas.  With two buffalo plaid prints in the pack, I’m all in!

I’m heading to Utah tomorrow for our annual SU Convention called On Stage!  Hope to see many of  you there and while we can’t post pics of the sneak peeks yet, I can share swaps and other goodies on my Stamping School facebook page:  www.facebook.com/stampingschool
