I got some stamping time while we were snowed in last week!
We had an unusual amount of snow for western NC and it’s finally melting.
I think we had about 18″ and it took 5 days before the city trucks got to our roads so we could get out of the neighborhood. We didn’t lose power like some of our neighboring cities and states, so we were grateful.
I’m excited about several of the new products coming out January 3rd but especially the Stitched Rectangle Framelits!
There are 13 of them, all layering about 1/4″ for perfect card layers.
When I first cut them out, I measured them all and then as I used them, I realized there is no need to do that! Just grab 2 and they are already the perfect layering sizes.
There are 2 groups that layer, one larger group has 8 and the smaller group has 4.
(I’m still not sure what the random one in the top upper right corner is for but I’m sure we will find a way to use it)
I cut them all to see how they fit together. The largest one is about 3-3/4″ x 5-1/4, so I wish it was 4″ on the short side BUT we can shorten our card to 4″ to make it perfect. Even with that one tweak I would make, I really LOVE them.
I used these 4 rectangles for this card. So easy! No measuring, just cut and glue them down! (I did measure and cut my card base to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4″)
If you number them smallest to largest 1-8 for the largest set, I used #6 and #7, then #2 and #3 for the greeting layers.
The stamp set and paper are coming out January 3rd also!
All My Love Designer paper has beautiful colors in Crumb Cake, Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo with bits of Balmy Blue. The stamp set is called Climbing Roses and I really liked the sentiment.
Sale a Bration is coming in a big way starting January 3rd!
In addition to a free gift with every $50 purchase, Stampin’ Up also gives us MORE host rewards and a JOIN incentive each year during SAB. This year will be a really nice tote bag to hold lots of crafting supplies for new recruits who join between Jan 3 – March 31st!
I’ll be posting more info on that soon.
Here is a video from George from SU, showing the tote up close:

(demonstrators will get a copy mailed from Stampin’ Up directly)
Love your card—so pretty!
Cute card!!! I still can’t figure out why SU didn’t make their largest die 4 x 5 1/4. Any thoughts on why? Just makes no sense to me . . .
The only thing I can think of is we share with other countries that have metric. Their standard card sizes are different.
Thank you!
