Seems every week I hear about someone in the hospital, going through hard times with family, job problems, health issues. Sometimes it seems like I make more of these kinds of cards than birthday cards. What I love about card making is that creating them helps me DO something when it’s hard to know what to say or do.
I made 4 of these yesterday, using this simple, classic layout. The mushrooms are cheery and make me smile so I hope it cheers up the recipient, too.
I used the Sale-a-Bration paper, Painted Seasons. It has those cute mushrooms but also pretty flowers and another pattern that would work for fall/winter. I used a 3″ x 4″ piece as my main image, layered on 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ Early Espresso. I used Poppy Parade as the large layer, 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhered to a Thick Whisper White standard size, 4-1/4″ x 11.
The Patterned 1″ strip is the other side of the mushroom print.

#149574 12×12, 12 sheets – 4 designs 3 sheets each.
I did add a few little poppy butterflies from the Beauty Abounds dies.
It’s an easy layout you can adapt to any patterned paper.
I’m off to the mailbox
