Something new and sparkly has appeared
in the Stampin’ Up annual catalog this year!
SHIMMER Black and Shimmer White embossing powder a
nd it’s really fun to play with.
I think they are a good deal at $6 each for a 1/2 oz jar.
They should really be called Sparkle or Glitter embossing powder, not Shimmer.
They sparkle rather than just shimmer, which I’m happy about.
Here you can see samples of white powder on black cardstock
and black powder on white card stock. It is hard to capture the iridescent sparkle:
They pair So perfectly with the new suite, Silhouette Scenes!
If you are a member of my Stamping School for videos, I used it in 2 videos this week because I love it so much. (ordering customers and team get free access to my videos)
I used my VersaMark ink pad over the white card stock dandelion flower tops and then sprinkled with the white shimmer powder, tapped off excess and heat with the heat gun tool. Sparkly! ( I even took it outside but it was too cloudy
to capture how pretty it is in person)
The designer paper is from the Woven Threads package. I liked the peacock color and I used the Granny Apple green marker on the stems.
Here is a closer look at the stamps/dies. I like to stamp them all when I get them in hand, just to see what they do! I had a few images that needed some darkening after I stamped so I used the Light Black Stampin’ Blends alcohol marker. Stamps on the left, 5 dies on the right.
Here is one from the home office designers, using the Black Shimmer embossing powder:
And this one….VersaMark your cut out word dies and shake a little of the powder on, tap off excess, heat with your heat tool and oh yes, glittery goodness.
(Those pretty flowers are from the See a Silhouette paper
and they just cut out those pretty flowers.
