HI there!
Three of you asked me if I would do a video using the Songbird Builder punch
and since I’d recently got it FREE with my last Sale-A-Bration order, I did!
I don’t know why I didn’t get this cute bundle when the annual catalog came out last year.
I love birds and having a punch instead of dies is nice and easy.
The Songbird punch is free until the end of February with a $50 order and so is the Clouds folder so I used them both.
(It’s hard to capture the clear embossing folder so I added navy paper inside for the photo)
You don’t need the stamp set but I think it’s worth it to buy it while the punch is free. The stamp set is only $19 by itself.
Here is my video showing a few tricks and tips with the punch:
The inside…..more leaves and another quote bubble because I kept getting my inky fingers on the paper!
By the way If you missed seeing my video for the Conversation Bubbles Bundle, you can see it HERE

We will have 10 more days to earn freebies!
You may have already earned the freebies in the Sale-A-Bration mini catalog so Stampin’ Up has brought in MORE freebies!
(all of the original freebies are available except the Daisy Delight paper which just sold out)
Here are 9 of the new items that are free with a $50 order (before shipping and tax) and 1 is free with a $100 order.
These items have different item numbers than in the catalog so be sure to use the correct number listed to get it FREE!
I got this stamp set free at a Stampin’ Up conference, I put it on my shelf and forgot about it!
It’s called Decorative Borders and a ‘stand alone’ photopolymer set meaning no dies to go with it
It does stamp nicely, crisp and clean with pretty images to color!
I’m not feeling myself today, might have been the mussels I had at a restaurant last night, so I’m taking the weekend off from my video
but I took photos of my projects along the way to share.
I stamped the curvy border in Night of Navy ink 2x to create an oval then I colored with my alcohol markers, Stampin’ Blends, in mango, Fresh Freesia and Shaded Spruce.
I cut the oval from the flowers with the FRAMED FLORETS die
The Foam Adhesive strips are 9″ long and are just enough to make it all around the oval! I wanted it to really pop up.
I stamped the Thank you in Navy ink (this is a new stamp set coming out March 1st – I’ll show you in next week’s video!)
I layered on a piece of Fresh Freesia designer paper from Dandy Designs.
I played around with different orientations, sentiments and colors but loved the Navy and Freesia together
There is such great dimension to the frame in person!
The ‘friends’ sentiment is from Flowers of Friendship and the ‘dear friend’ sentiment is from Sentimental Park.
Fancy Flora Designer papers….is it really fancy? I don’t think so but it’s darn pretty.
I can imagine the artist at Stampin’ Up painting the images with a palette knife on canvas, creating the gorgeous texture images.
The colors are lovely, some muted and some bright and today I’m using it on 4 cards and hope you like them!
I’ll jump right to video! The 4 recipes with measurements are in a link under the video.
Just 3 little pieces of designer paper, 1″ x 3″ each, is all it takes sometimes to make a card more interesting!
I went back to an older bundle called Art Gallery for the stem silhouette. It can be changed out so easily to other sentiments.
Another design in the papers with a little gold splatter embossing!
I used Wink-Of-Stella to splatter and quickly add gold embossing powder to create the embossed spatter.
Gilded edges…..I haven’t done this in ages and I love it! Rub VersaMark ink pad along the edges,
dip in gold embossing powder and heat!
Bright and colorful butterflies! Cutting the delicate wings from the Fancy Flora paper adds such detail.
In my video I had 3 butterflies but they seemed crowded so I moved one to the inside instead.

Here is a video from the home office:
I wish you could see this card in person….so shimmery!
This week I’m using Around the Bend, a bundle in the Stampin’ Up mini catalog.
I love curvy dies so I picked up this one right away!
This bundle is one of the few that is available in both Photopolymer stamps AND Rubber, same price of $52.
Personally I went with the photopolymer because the stamps being clear are easier to line up along the curves.
Watch the descriptions if you are purchasing this bundle so you get the one you prefer!
Hi all!
All of the paper, ribbon and accessories shares have been mailed and those who participated should have them by now!
IF you don’t, please email me right away as I have tracking on them. Thanks to all who joined in!
If I had to choose between cats or dogs, I’d choose dogs but only because I’ve never really owned a cat. I’ve roommates years ago with cats and our family has always owned dogs. (I do have a faint memory of a cat when I was little named Fat Head)
This year a feral black cat has come to our back door and I named him Cricket. I can’t get close to him but this coming week I’ll try to catch him and have him taken to the vet, checked out, neutered and let him go. It’s the responsible thing to do altho I’m not looking forward to it and Cricket may never show up at my door again after!
Anyway, that’s why cats have been on my mind AND this stamp set is CUTE!!
LOVE CATS #160410 $21
This week is using the cats for a Waterfall card and Easy treat pouch !
Waterfall cards have been around AGES! Easy to make and people still love to flip them over and over!

Here is the link I mentioned for my original mitered corner video
This week I chose to work with the Favored Flowers Sale a Bration paper, which is free with a $50 ordering
during January and February:
AND the Sending Support stamp set, which is also a freebie during Sale a Bration!
If you squint, you can see the mitered floral corner, which is only 2 pieces of 1″ designer paper.
It saves paper, it’s easy and looks great! It all started with this card swap I received years ago from Chris Smith: I loved the simplicity, the white space and the little bit of striped designer paper. I kept her swap all these years because I loved the layout. Here’s another one with multiple offset layers that I created with the Rain or Shine Designer paper: I hope you give it a try!
It’s a new year AND 2 new catalogs, too!
The new Stampin’ Up mini catalog is LIVE today and it is also Sale a Bration time,
which means a free stamp set or paper with every $50 purchase!
