Why did I wait so long to use this cute set?
Look at the smart piggy, holding a tea or coffee which will be perfect for a gift card this season.
It’s called Joyful Life (no dies, just a stand alone set)
I had a friend in mind when I made this card.
She’s always up for a spontaneous joy ride or shopping trip or just about any adventure!
I wanted to create a road rather than a grassy hill (less dangerous LOL) for them to ride down.
A few leaves kicking up as they ride by since it’s fall:)
I stamped in Basic Gray and added color with the Blends alcohol markers
I drew my line with a ruler and a Basic Gray marker for my ‘road’
I didn’t make a regular video this week but I did take photos along the way while I made the card.
If you’d like to see the process, here it my little video slideshow
(if you can’t see it below, here is the LINK)
Here is another cute sample from the Stampin’ Up home office:
The little windows were created using the Picture this die:
I hope you all have a great week and

They can all be found in the annual SU catalog, holiday items not on sale yet.
ps – if you placed an order with me this week already and you see your stamp set on the list, email me! I’ll credit you the difference for next time since I didn’t know until this afternoon!
This week I was going through some old stamping videos of mine, at least 10 years ago (gee whiz, time really does fly!) and I found this fun technique called Reverse Spotlighting. You can use with punches or dies and it really makes an impact in person!
Oh by the way, Stampin’ Up announced that something special is coming October 20th….not sure if it’s a sale, or something new or? Will keep you posted!
Velvet paper is just a little extra texture, more warm fuzzies than regular paper but there are a few tricks to getting the ink to set. In this week’s video I’m showing some experiments, some that worked, some that didn’t:)
Also be sure to note my tip for how to put box together if you end up getting these!
The Kraft boxes are nice, large size! 10 good safe boxes for $10. (Don’t Forget to take the protective film off of the window!)
I can fit about 5 regular A2 sized cards/Envelopes in the box for a nice gift!
(Card shown created by Janet Munden)
And yes, white squirrels are real! Not an albino but a recessive gene that causes some to be born white. They are like little unicorns around here a delight to see! My neighbor Stefan took this photo and gave it to me in a frame as a gift.

TO PRINT RECIPES WITH MEASUREMENTS
for 3×3 Small Lantern Pop Up with Box click HERE for larger Square Lantern Card click HERE
It all started with my talented team member, Debi, who sent me this pretty Lantern card:
You can find her measurements and video over on her Facebook page HERE
I remembered this type of Pop Up card back around 2016 or 2018. They were taller, bigger but fun to do! Debi figured out how to make it a 4-1/4″ square card and less tiers. She used the very pretty Blackberry Beauty designer paper from the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog.
Once I saw hers, I knew I had to try it, too!
Then I thought how cute it would be to make a 3×3 size that could even be an ornament!
The little acetate boxes are PERFECT for giving it as a gift!
It’s been a long time since I made a Lolly or a Rosette!
I have a few friends that work so hard with the local dog/cat rescue and fostering. I’m sending these out to them:
Speaking of dogs…..
Otis had his knee Surgery a week and a half ago, doing well!
He will get his stitches out this Wednesday and if all looks good, he may get to go for a 20 minute walk daily.
He’s still a pup at 1-1/2 years with SO much energy, driving us nuts since he’s bored while recovering:)
This week I was inspired by the Pretty Pumpkins bundle from the Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog (July-December 2021 catalog)
If you don’t have a fall pumpkin set yet, this is a nice one. If you have one similar from previous catalogs, get it out and try embossing in white! It’s so pretty and you can use lots of colors as the base.
In this week’s video, I compare a few ways to get a nice, crisp white embossed image and also how to fix spot if you miss a part of a stamped image!
The BE DAZZLING 6×6 Paper is gone but I do have a few extra! If you have a $50 order to place before 9/30, email me or place your order online and I will mail you one!
Hi all!
This week I had a request from Carrie, who said she has trouble with creating her own designs. Yes, we can always copy (or as we say CASE a card). It’s perfectly fine! But sometimes there is such great satisfaction in creating something uniquely your own.
One of the easiest layouts has a banner. Any size works but especially the 2″ banner. In today’s video I show 4 basic cards using the 2″ banner and show some other samples, too!
This week I”m using the Gorgeous Leaves bundle from the Stampin’ Up Holiday mini catalog. I was excited to also use the Expressions in Ink Specialty paper (from the annual SU catalog) that was gone for a while and is back!
