Before my post, YES I’ll be offering new catalog shares! I’ll post in about 3 days with details)
It’s a fun time for me being able to preorder a few things from upcoming new Stampin’ Up annual catalog!
The new catalog will go live to customers on May 2nd. I’m hearing the catalogs have been arriving to mailboxes this week!
I ordered 2 bundles and the new colors to play with.
This is one of the bundles I preordered:
This is CUTE. It’s one of those that isn’t going to be super versatile for all of your friends, more likely just the crafty ones.
The knitters, the paper crafters, the painters, the quilter/sewers…
it’s called Crafting with You and the dies are so fun to play with!
I’ll just jump right to the video to show you the bundle and the projects:
The little paper trimmer is sweet! I was wondering if my non-crafting friends would know what it is?
This layout is cased from the new catalog, I just changed the papers.
Same with the one below…it’s a similar layout from the new catalog:
Although I haven’t done needlepoint for YEARS, I remembered how to do a French Knot for the flower centers!
This card is going to someone who will notice it since she does a lot of needlepoint otherwise I’d stick a rhinestone in the middle.
Hi all!
I’m hoping to hear that you are receiving your new annual catalogs next week!
There are 16 New Colors (and returning) colors available on May 2nd. It’s a LOT so do you NEED all 16?
That’s what was on my mind as I pondered the new catalog launch, how my customers might be thinking the same thing but not sure what existing ink pads might look like with the new cardstock and accessories.
BY THE WAY, YES I’m doing a paper share for the new catalog!
However, I won’t be able to offer the ribbons and accessories til the end of the month. I’m heading to Ireland on May 11th and that is really just enough time to get out all the paper shares. I’ll post more on that later as we get closer.
Ok, back to the colors….
I spent all day yesterday combing thru my swaps, papers and old ink pads to find other Stampin’ Up colors that might work with the 16 colors coming out May 2nd. The new catalog has some fantastic Designer papers that highlight these colors so I wanted to see what worked well as Alternative inks. Here is one example for the new Pebbled Path. I think Gray Granite ink works fine as an alternate:
When the new catalog begins on May 2nd, there are assortment packs of cardstock with the new core 11 and also a pack with all 5 new In Colors. That would be a great way to get a start on seeing which ones you love and need.
This video is a bit longer than normal, it’s about 20 minutes to show all 16 colors and the alternates.
The Discount Sale is still going on!
Go to the online store HEREand sort by Low to High!
You won’t believe the deals!
My assignment this week was a request from Caroline who asked which bundle from the Regency Suite is better?
I actually liked using them both but one stretched ahead by a nose for me!
Here is my video:
The Regency Park Suite is in the soon-to-be-retired Stampin’ Up mini catalog. The 2 bundles are carrying over to the new annual catalog in May but not at the 10% off bundle price. The Designer paper will NOT be carrying over and I highly recommend getting that if you get the bundle!
Petal Park bundle with punch $37.75 #160577
Sentimental Park Bundle with Dies $52 #160567
Regency Park 6×6 Designer paper 48 sheets $12 #160559 This won’t be carrying over so be sure to get it before May 1st!
(it may sell out before that)
Take a peek at this fun, two minute video showing the NEW colors coming soon in the May Annual catalog!
You may have heard the squeals of delight today all over the Stampin’ Up universe as demonstrators like me got to see the new annual catalog and the new colors coming!
There will be a sale/discounts on the retired items but NOT until April 4th!
All items are while supplies last so if you really want it, think about ordering it before the sale starts or it may not be there.
Since we have two retiring catalogs, there are 2 lists.
You will see sale prices on the list but the sale doesn’t start until April 4th.
You can order any items before that at regular price if you really want it.
These are the initial lists from SU. They are usually too small in print, include the french items, etc.
I’ll work on a larger print version but wanted to get these out quickly!

sadness.. If you don’t have one yet, get one before it’s gone.
Demonstrators watched a video today showing the outgoing colors, the process of choosing new colors and it was so good!
I hope they make it public but we know some will be sad to see some colors go.
I’m super excited to try some of the NEW colors though!!
We say goodbye to these colors (you will see them on the retiring list)

I’m BACK in the land of email and blogging… after several days of techy support from some helpful, brainy people and all is now running smoothly! Thank you for your texts and messages of concern:) My email wasn’t hacked, nor my SU business accounts or anything of that nature. Somebody hacked into my domain registrar and stole my stampingschool.com domain address, so they could direct it to something illicit. That is what knocked my email out since the domain was gone. Anyway, 5 days later it feels good to be back!
You can now resume using my Linda@stampingschool.com email or you can also reach me at the stampingschool@gmail.com
(photo above soon to be in color once we know what the new colors are!)
We know that Stampin’ Up is doing a color refresh for the upcoming new annual catalog. It was something they did about 5 years ago and much needed to keep colors fresh and pretty! That means that 10-15 of the regular, current colors will be
retired and they will bring in some past favorite In Colors like Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon they have already told us are coming back. We find out what colors are retiring on MARCH 29th!
So…..I’m thinking ahead a few days because once they announce the retiring colors, the ink refills and paper will probably go quickly!
My job is to make sure my customers have their ink refills ordered BEFORE March 29th- before things sell out.
In addition to those regular colors retiring, we also have 5 of our In Colors retiring as they do every 2 years.
Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia.
It wouldn’t surprise me if soft succulent and evergreen stayed on….I love those colors!
I guess we will see on the 29th!

PRINTABLE COLOR CHARTS
To make it easy to check your ink refill and paper inventory, I made a two page PDF of the colors for you to print. That way you can check them off to see what you are missing if needed.
Click on the graphic below to get to the 2 page PDF to print:
If you email me your order by midnight Tuesday the 28th, I have a special sale for you: *Buy 4 ink refills and get one free! *Buy 4 packs of cardstock and get the 5th one free! (that saves about $2 a pack) (offer available only thru me, it’s a personal sale from me to you so email me instead of placing your order online)
On APRIL 4th, some of the retiring items will go on sale!
We don’t know which ones or how much the sale will be but with the Retiring List out on March 29th, things will be selling out that week for sure. Then on APRIL 4th we will see what will be on sale.
I’ll be back on Wed March 29th with the retiring lists at 3 pm eastern!
Hi friends, you hopefully saw my post yesterday about my email woes – it stopped sending and receiving for 3 days.
Then early this morning things got worse. My stamping school domain was hijacked and since my email was connected to that, all web things stopped working. Good fun had by all today including the many hours on all sorts of support calls (and curse words)
My blog might disappear off and on while they figure things out, don’t worry it will hopefully be resolved soon.
In the big picture of life there are many worse things in the world although I do hope the hackers will get their bad karma one day.
Seems they like to steal domains and redirect them to illegal sites.
Can’t we all just use those techy powers for the good needed in the world? gee whiz.
My weekly video will be postponed for tomorrow.
if you happen to see anything squirrely with my website, let me know if you see it before I do.
IF you need to email me, please use my alternate email stampingschool@gmail.com until the good people in techy support get my regular email back working.
(yes, I’m having a glass of wine shortly)
as always, thanks to all my stamping friends who make me smile daily even when things are messy!
Hi everyone! I haven’t been able to send or receive all day Wednesday! Ugh, technology is a curse and a blessing sometimes.
If you have emailed me in the last 24 hours, please resend tostampingschool@gmail.com instead of my regular email Linda@stampingschool.com until I can get more help with it. We tried for hours but no luck so far! Or you can text me 407-435-3135 or FB message or call me:)
Hi everyone! This week I’m creating some cards using the new Elegant Borders die set.
It’s an out of catalog, stand alone die set to add some flair to your projects.
Best way to see them up close without being with me in my stamp room is video, so here it is!
I used the Quiet Meadow stamps and dies over Hues of Happiness 12×12 Designer paper.
The border die cut 2x for the frame – love the paper!
More Hues of Happiness designer paper and also Brushstroke Specialty ,
which is a low sheen textured, lightweight paper.
I used this die to create a gate fold. I’m still using the Framed Florets bundle quite a bit!
I created a pocket card with this 6″ border die, which fits a regular card diagonally perfectly!
This would be great for a gift card pocket
We are heading into new catalog season! Towards the end of every catalog, things may sell out. Be sure to check your ink pad stock for refills and buy those early before colors retire!
