Bendi cards have been around years and I have no idea who created them first or why they are Bendi not Bendy:) If you know, leave me a comment. The Plentiful Plants bundle seemed to be perfect for the multi-step layout!
Yes, they fold FLAT to mail and even the larger 5×7 card is only one first class stamp to mail! My video this week shows how to make 2 sizes and also a spring/Easter bunny version I made for a special niece of ours.
I just got back from a short vacation in Arizona spending some much needed time with this girl!
Many of you know Patsy Waggoner, a sister stamper friend from Minnesota. We’ve been friends at least 18 years, enjoying many Stampin’ Up trips together. Our husbands are good friends also so we had a wonderful time seeing Tucson!
From kissing goats, petting and feeding Ostrich to learning how fascinating cactus are. We had a great time!
We just got home last night so I decided instead of a video, I’d better take the day to look over the retiring list and see what’s leaving. Things are While supplies Last and some can sell quickly, some may show up on the clearance rack later if they don’t. (and no pressure, LOTS of good stuff coming in the next annual catalog very soon:)
The FIRST thing I do when I go to the Last Chance shopping page is SORT from low to high. I love to see what the least expensive items are first! If you like to shop visually, you can find the retiring shop HERE
Retiring In Colors
There is only 1 color out of the 5 In Color ink refills left – Cinnamon Cider (at the time of this post)
I’m not sure about Misty Moonlight – there were more coming in last I heard so we will wait and see.
The In Color classic ink pads are all still available, also.
A few more 2020-2022 In Color items can be seen here
This one hurts a little! My FAVORITE dies!
The Stitched so Sweetly dies have been my go to for pretty layers and sentiments!
#151690 $32
Pierced Blooms Dies! No need for a stamp set with these dies – the stitching on every flower is amazing!
I’ll keep these forever, they were my Favorite flower set. #154312 only 18.50!! (they were &37!)
If you want to see me use them in action, watch this video from 2020
Retiring Ribbons
Not all retiring are listed here but these are my favorites and ones I have used a bunch!
The Highland Heather ribbon is sparkly and so nice for spring projects!
Retiring Embossing Folders I love adding texture to anything – some standouts that I have used a lot are the Greenery folders and the Tasteful Textile!
The Tailored Tag punch has been a staple in my craft room for banners!
Using it for sentiments is great but I use it the most to punch the ends of my sentiments!I’ve seen the new Annual Catalog and there are loads of new stuff coming so it makes saying goodbye to some of these a little easier!

It’s that time of year when our annual Stampin’ Up catalog will retire and a new one begins! Before that happens, there is a nice sale and time to get some of those items that have been on your list! (and they are while supplies last so don’t dilly dally!)
The new annual catalog will begin MAY 3rd and the last day to order from the current annual catalog is May 2nd.
You can order online, email me or call me if you see something you need!
I’m in Arizona for a few days with my bestie Patsy Waggoner and having a great time in Tuscon, AZ!
We just visited the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch look at these eyelashes…
Just popping in for a few minutes to let you know the annual catalog will be posted here at 1 pm MT (3 pm eastern time)
I’ll be posting again today with the lists!
If it’s 1 pm MT, you can click HERE
to view the list online !
I’m in Arizona for a few days with my bestie Patsy Waggoner and we are waiting not-so-patiently for our demonstrator sneak peek of the new catalog today at 1 pm MT! It’s always sad to see some of my favorites retire but SO fun to see what’s new!
One easy layout and I think I made about 10 cards once I got on a roll!
The main layer with stamped images is 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and is the same on all the cards.
I really love the bold and modern flowers in the paper and coordinating stamps!
Here is my video – I hope you give this layout a try!
It all started with this card from my friend and team member, Debbi Muche!
She sent this pretty pop up card to me and I was in love!
Debbi was inspired by a crafter’s youtube channel called Iced Images. Debbi tweaked it a little to make the columns and front of card all in one piece of paper. You can find Debbi’s Blog Post about it HERE
Then our friend and team member, Cindy Brumbaugh, created her own version using the Plentiful Plants!
I decided to make my versions larger, a 5×7 size. It is still under an ounce and even though larger, it is just one postage stamp to mail.
My first one got away from me, it turned into an hour long project where I kept adding and adding to it!
I wouldn’t want to make more than one of them, but it was fun! I used the new Waves of the Ocean designer paper:
The second one is much more simple and classic. I love how it turned out also! The little strip of window sheet/acetate helps the whale ‘float’ in the middle.
The Horizons 6×6 designer paper makes it SO easy to create a cool card:
I really like the shadow box or telescope effect of the landscape paper!
I’m finalizing my mailing list for the new Annual catalog coming soon!
If you have ordered from me in the last 6 months, you will automagically receive one.
If your address has changed, please let me know!
If you are new here and would like one, email me at Linda@stampingschool.com
(if you are a demonstrator, SU will be sending those out to you soon)
Remember the Waves of the Ocean Designer paper, rhinestones and foils are While Supplies Last and will not be in new catalog but the Stamps/Dies will be! At the time of this post the papers were still in stock so if you want it, be sure to grab it soon.
I took the week off for our wedding anniversary (17 years! time sure flies) and sharing some cards I’ve received lately for inspiration! I’ll be back next week with my video.
This bridge card was created by Janet Munden using the Horizons bundle. Love the die cut fence!
This cutie was created by Jackie Walker using the Easter Friends stamp set.
She stamped in Basic Gray and colored in with the So Saffron and Daffodil blends for the soft, fuzzy look. I love how the stamp set already does the shading for us!
This set has been very popular, mostly because the images are so versatile from Get well, retirement, thinking of you, or just to a special friend. Debbi Muche created the pretty, 3 strip layout that works so well with it!
Tanner Smedley from the Stampin’ up home office sent me this card, which is another paper strip layout. I love the Daffodil card base and the pop of coral that would work for so many flowers!
Cindy Brumbaugh created this pretty card using the Simply Elegant Designer paper and the Elegantly Said punch bundle. I love the vanilla instead of white with the shiny gold!
My favorite thing about Janet’s card is the inside! The front is really nice (she added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to the rainbows) but the inside with the rainbow and the sentiment that fits perfectly inside is what I love the most! “you make this world a better place”
Such a fun card made by Cindy Brumbaugh!
The paper is the Host gift from the annual catalog and the bundle is called Hats Off.
I love the stitching, love the colors and it’s just a happy card for all ages!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you find time to stamp this week!
Happy March! Sale-A-Bration is over but Stampin’ Up is giving us a nice sale for the month and some new products!
First, 20 percent off on 13 bundles and also on the mini Embossing/cutting machine:
This is the mini version of our stampin’ cut emboss machine and it’s on sale 20% off from Stampin’ Up during March. I have mixed thoughts on this little guy. I love having a mini version to travel with and also to keep next to me for the smaller dies and folders. But then I need to get up to use the big machine for the bigger dies and folders – I guess it good to get up and move when crafting anyway LOL It cuts and embossing great, you just have to know that know everything fits!
20% off Selected Mini Bundles
Stampin’ Up also has 13 stamp/dies bundles on sale that fit in the mini machine! So even if you don’t need the mini, look at these on sale to see if you want any. My new favorite, All Squared away is on sale too!
Today the WAVES OF THE OCEAN is available!
The stamps/dies will be in the upcoming annual catalog this summer but you can get them early this month.
The gorgeous Designer Paper, Foil paper and rhinestones will NOT be in the annual catalog, they are just available while supplies last. (so get those first)
You can get anything individually or the whole collection all at once. I LOVE the papers!
Just in case you missed my 2 videos using the collection, here are the Links:
This week I made a little flower cart for some tulips using the Flowering Rain Boots bundle. It’s on page 30 of the Stampin’ Up mini catalog. I had to really improvise on the wheel but it worked!
You may have some flower pot and flower stamps in your craft room already! If you do, I hope you make a little flower cart, too!
This is what the whole bundle looks like, I love the little garden tool:) Stampin’ Up had a paper pumpkin kit a while back with rainboots that reminds me of this bundle.
By the way, 2 more days for FREEBIES with every $50 purchase! Sale a Bration will be over on Feb 28th!
