Video: DIY Treat Boxes & Bottles

A sweet stamper friend of mine emailed me and said
“Linda, help!  I need 25 candy treat boxes FAST and I don’t really have any Halloween sets!”
I love a challenge:)

A few years ago I painted and decorated wine bottles and I thought why not make some miniature bottles AND treat boxes?
The Bottle punch and shaker domes were so much fun to use for these!

This box template is the EASIEST one to make, especially if you need one quickly!
Watch my video to see how easy it is to draw the bottled images with no stamping:

The bottled mummy might be my favorite:)

I think the Christmas bottle needs a deer or a bird or something!

New kit, free shipping and a starter kit promo!

Hi all!
I’m finally back home after a long but wonderful vacation.  It turned out not to be the best time to take a Boston to Nova Scotia cruise with hurricane Fiona exactly on our path where we were going!   We made the best of it and stayed on the boat for extra days and had to miss going to Charlottetown (prince edward island) and Sydney.  The hurricane hit them hard and we had to sail around more to avoid those ports.  Then we came home on the tail of the 2nd hurricane.  We were so lucky compared to so many who lost power and the devastation of the storms.

While I was gone my internet on the ship was scarce so I was delighted to see all the fun specials beginning October 4th!
The first is free shipping on orders over $75!
For one day only!

The 2nd promotion is a fun Birthday Card Organizer Kit!
I’m so behind on my birthday cards, this may help me get organized!

  • Kit includes one 8″ x 10″ monthly planner with space to record birthdays each month as well as a pocket sleeve to hold birthday cards.
  • Includes 12 full-size birthday cards, 6 of 2 designs, and 12 coordinating envelopes.

  • Includes sticker sentiments and die-cut labels in Dutch, English, French, and German
  • Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Evening Evergreen, Petal Pink, Sahara Sand, and Soft Succulent

Watch the video from Stampin’ Up to see it in action:

The 3rd promo is a starter kit special!

Join my team or re-join again and get EXTRA products!

Between 4–31 October, those who sign up can get $155 worth of products for only $99 + free shipping + all the fun being a part of Stampin’ Up!   You choose what you would like from any of our catalogs or online products.
As a demonstrator you can get a discount on your purchases by placing your own orders, purchase products early, and more!

I’ll be back this weekend for a project video!

Video: Snowman Magic Bundle

This week I played with the Snowman Magic bundle.  I love the little snowflake frame die!

It’s so hard to see the velvet snow dots behind the trees but hopefully you can see it better in my video:

By the way, I’ll be taking off a week and on a New England/Canada cruise so no video next week!
(I’ll be checking my email once a day while I’m gone)

The inside using the specialty vellum!  I love the shiny snowfall on the vellum.  The sentiment from the same snowman magic is perfect! I love the font mix.

These samples from the home office show the versatility of this cute bundle:

It’s a Sale! Actually 2 Sales…

Morning!   I’m coming in mid week to announce 2 sales!  One is the September Weekly Deals, which are pretty good this week!

You can see all the deals HERE and my favorites are below

This gel-like enamel dries in an hour but I LOVE the red on berries!

You know I’m a huge fan of masking paper – see how to use it here in a video I did a while back

2nd Sale is the 15% off on ALL annual catalog stamps (excluding host items)

You can see them all HERE in the store or you can view/print a flyer HERE

Watch the math on the bundles – that is any stamp set that has a coordinating die or punch.  Those are already 10% off each so it may not be worth it to split those up.
The flyer has page numbers to help see which stamps are on sale.

That’s it for today! I’ll be back with my weekly video on Saturday!

Video: Paper Casting with TP….

It all started with this beautiful card from Kathy Hendrey….

I took it out of the envelope, smiled (as we all do when we see a hand stamped card) and then said out loud “did she emboss this with TP?”   I messaged Kathy and she said yes!  Can you see the cool texture?

Had this been at the height of the pandemic and TP was scarce, I wouldn’t dream of making a card with it but now it is back on our shelves and we can even buy more than one package at a time!    I remember seeing Carol Duvall do this as a stamping technique 20 years ago and was amazed back then.  (If you google the REAL paper casting, those artists are fantastic!)
The embossing folder Kathy used is the Painted Posies and perfect for this technique.

Here’s my video trying it out on different surfaces, like stamps and the dies and embossing folders:

Video: Fresh Cut Flowers, Vintage Style

fresh cut stems Recipe

I tried blue, I tried pink and in the end, I chose brown!
My color scheme was inspired by a designer paper in our annual catalog, Abigail rose.
Why did it take me so long to use this pretty paper?
Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and a touch of Petal Pink….

It has similar artwork to the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set so it paired up nicely!

The Fresh Cut Stems dies are a new, limited release from Stampin’ Up this month.
They  are a nice companion to the stamp set!

#162519  $50.25 for the bundle or #160251  $34 if you already have the stamp set and need just the dies

Here is this week’s video:

I especially like the inside!
