If you don’t have a Big Shot yet, I always suggest getting one thru Stampin’ Up. It does cost more than online BUT the warranty is well worth it! I hope you never have to replace your machine but things can happen and our 3 year warranty will be there to replace it free. Before you buy any machine online or in a store, ask what the warranty is and I’ll bet they say none or limited damage out of the box.
Stampin’ Up did a informative video on our Big Shot that cuts, scores and creases using dies and folders:
This group is my favorite! The Navy is gorgeous and has a light blue in it, almost a Bashful blue. The Smoky Slates are really great for shadows. The Wisteria is perfect. The Coral and Mambo aren’t my favorites yet but I’m still getting used to them. They are very intense and will be great for flowers.
Hi all! I got home from Salt Lake early Monday morning. I was crossing my fingers that my swaps didn’t get lost with my luggage but it all made it’s way back to me. I had brought an extra suitcase this year because I know SU gives us so much stuff! Thank you Southwest for 2 free bags:)
I’ll add more swaps here on the blog on Thursday but for today, lots of promotions going on:

These are Stampin’ Up’s version of an alcohol marker (like Copics) that blend beautifully. You won’t use them directly on your stamps like our water-based markers so they will not replace those but add another option for coloring your stamped images.
Here is a SU corporate video about them:
Here are the select colors available now for customers (click on each one to see details in my store)
My favorites to buy first would be the Daffodil, Olives, Cherry and Skin Tones. I seem to use those the most so far from this grouping!
You will need the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and refill for using these alcohol markers (not StazOn)
I personally LOVE my new Memento Pad! So easy to clean the ink off of, stamps beautifully, and is great for just a black greeting or image that doesn’t need to be waterproof.

As the end of our Stampin’ Up catalog year closes, some of our Carryover Lists like the Christmas sets, will be gone on June 4th.
We won’t have any holiday items like Christmas stamps until the Holiday catalog starts in August. If you want to start on some holiday cards earlier, you may want to think about these. I’m posting these as they are available now but can sell out so if you really want them, order ’em! If you click on the item, it will take you to my store to see full size and prices. (I posted the clear mount prices but wood is available also)
My favorites would be the Festive Flurry with the matching framelits, Christmas Messages and the Christmas Collectibles with the matching punch. (those of you that stamp with me know that I didn’t like that set but it won me over eventually 🙂
One of my stand by greeting sets is Greetings of the Season – I’ll miss that one!
I’m in North Carolina this week but am checking emails daily and of course you can order online without me any time you want also.
I have officially mailed out the NEW 2014-2015 Stampin UP catalogs to all who have requested one here on the blog or otherwise.
I mailed them all out on Monday, so if you have not received yours by today, please email me! Over the years I’ve learned about 5% never make it.
Those of you I’m seeing this week, you will get yours in person.
“PIN-spired”
In the wee hours, if I find the Ipad on my nightstand, I might visit Pinterest. If I’m feeling unorganized, there’s a million ways to solve any problem. If I’m feeling plump that day, I may look for healthy recipes. If I’m feeling lonely, I look at boston terrier puppies….Pinterest is the fix for just about mood 🙂
Sometimes I look through the stamping and papercrafting, save a few for inspiration.
Sadly, this one had no name or watermark on it, as it often happens on Pinterest. I loved the color combo of Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron. We don’t have the eyelets or that stamp anymore, but I made my own version of it.
Here’s my “PIN-spired” version:
I used the stamp set in the Occasions catalog called So Very Grateful, which will not be carrying over into the new catty so if you want it, get it before June 1st.
16.95 Clear Mount, # 133053
Pansy Punch for the flower, Bird Builder punch for the leaves. We have a super cool new DSP coming out in the new catty called Typeset – thin newsprinty paper that will be SO useful for lots of projects.
Thank you for the inspiration, wherever you are!

Here are this week’s weekly deals from Stampin’ UP:
With the Stampin’ Up Retiring List just around the corner (April 21st!), it got me to thinking about the 2012-2014 In Colors that will be retiring. The In Colors are trendy and only meant to be around for 2 years.
This doesn’t mean they can’t come back by popular demand!
Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz were In Colors once and now they are part of our regular collection.
Once the retiring accessories list comes out on the 21st, guess what the first things to sell out are?
Ink Refills.
So that means that all of you who have bought any of the 2012-2014 In Colors like
Midnight Muse
Summer Starfruit
Primrose Petals
Rasperry Ripple
Gumball Green
need to call me, email me, text me or order these online BEFORE the 21st.
You may want to get some card stock or other coordinating accessories if you have the ink pads.
These photos will individually take you to each item.
You don’t need to find the item numbers if you are emailing me with your order. Email me at Lindastamps@cfl.rr.com
Stampin’ Up introduced 2 new photo-polymer stamp sets today. (those are the see-through clear stamps that come on a sheet with no case) They are both on trend with their hand drawn, doodled style. To see the flyer to print their true size (both on one sheet), click HERE
Sweetie Pie, Set of 12 for 13.95 # 136849
(I do hope they come out with the rest of their bodies soon:)
Sweetie Pie Frames Set of 14 for $13.95 # 137121
and on to this Week’s Weekly Deals! Some good ones this week, too…
To see them individually, go HERE . Once there, click on each item for description and item number. Of course here are m 2 cents on this week’s deals. The circles dies are a good deal but you get more circles with our Circles Collection Framelits instead. If you are wanting to cut fabric or metals or thicker craft materials, then these dies are the way to go.
The Dress form Pop -n Cuts will need the base to pop into. See page 188, for 39.95. You will also need extended cutting plates for your Big Shot to cut it all.
Love the 2 embossing folders and the Set of 2 mini folders on sale this week. The mini set of 2 measure 4-1/2″ x 2-7/8″ each and the oval coordinates with the Extra-Large oval punch we still sell.
The Peek-a-boo die is a great deal, too. I still use mine and it can’t go out of style. It creates windows and doors, perfect for Advent calendars, etc. Uses standard cutting plates.
Off to work on this week’s Stamping School videos. I have NO idea what to create this week and being on vacation has gotten me off my stamping mojo. Send me some artsy vibes!
Note from Linda: This framelit is also offered as a bundle with the coordinating stamp set, Backyard Basics page 79. To get the stamp set with this deal, order Clear Mount # 129528 or wood mount # 129255
The clear mount bundle with stamp set and framelits is 36.50. Using this weekly deal and ordering seperately is 36.66 so it’s 16 cents more. I would highly suggest getting the bundle instead with the coordinating stamp set!
There are LOTS of other products not offered in the big catalog or the Occasions seasonal catalog. Hard to keep up with it all so here are quick links in case you missed something:
