ALL 1500 of us of made our way to the convention center tonight in pajamas for our first ever evening general session!
We are sitting theater style, watching the Stampin’ Up staff make some great projects.
I’m posting from my iPhone so be kind when commenting on the quality of my photos…:)
They just announced the first regional event!
Donna Griffith takes the stage to show a few ways to use the sizzlet pinwheel die
A few more projects! She is throwing them up on the screen fast!
The pic above is a journal she made.
Another regional announced!
More in a few minutes…
I’m taking these with my phone but I figure I may never get them edited and up!
Here’s just a small sampling of some wonderful things on the boards from The display stampers. If You like seeing everything on the displays, try to attend the annual convention in July in Utah! It’s going to be amazing!
Here are a few using that cute ‘patterned occasions’ stamp set from SAB catalog that begins Jan 22nd:
Here are a few from the stamp set “pretty petites”. It’s also a Sale-a-Bration set.
This is a set called “bloomin’ marvelous”
Here are a few from “vintage verses”
This is a stamp set from the spring catalog called “oh, hello”
Bonnie Thurber takes the stage to give us a Big announcement!
We love to make and send cards so this is right up our alley.
Kits have been around for a long time but increasingly more popular these days as we get more busy.
Writing thoughtful, handwritten notes are important to us so Stampin’ Up has a new monthly subscription program!
It’s called Paper Pumpkin! Comes right to your door. Love it!
Some casual crafters might like a quick and easy kit, too.
More details coming soon but here are a few bites. (Demos, updates online today on the Stampin’ Up website.)
I’m looking forward to seeing what they make!
To my customers, I’ll post more when I know more. Begins in March! Demos can begin Monday!
Try It kit comes with clear block and a different price. Demos can purchase as many as they like of the Try It to cash and carry.
I love the name Paper Pumpkin! Catchy! The webiste is up already if you want to check it out!
And so it begins! I think there are at least 1500 stampers here. We are excited and it’s their 25th anniversary year so we are expecting great things!
Wow! Stampin’ Up is giving away 5 free convention registrations during each session!
This is for the annual convention in Utah plus a free one for a guest!
That’s exciting! Crowd went crazy while they gave away the first 5 conventions.
Sara Douglass ( Shelli’s daughter) is now up on stage demonstrating kits.
For the Record Simply scrappin kit:
Card making kits for guys!
“Dude, you’re welcome” stamp set available Monday!
Really made for guys with hip directions, no curvy blocks and easy stamping!
Here are a few great swaps I received today from my talented team and demo friends:
Linda Goldherz, who is German, stamped this adorable card.
Anyone speak German and can translate?
Dress detail 🙂
Clever Wanda Smith made the dress form into a Stampin’ Up apron!
Debi LaFountaine made this pretty card
By my friend Rhea Hughes from Montana
Guess where we are going tonight? Stampin’ Up is taking the Managers and above to an exclusive night at Harry Potter! Can’t wait and the husbands are going also, so that will be fun. The park closes at 6 so we will have the whole area, rides and food all to ourselves.
Some of us like to bring little gifts for our teams that attend the conference.
This year I made necklaces using a pendant and glass! I stamped 3 varieties of colors and out them in cute little tins.
I used the new Collage Curios stamp set:
These are the little tins!
These adorable altoid tins are by Deb Valder for her team:
It’s over…sniff. Friends are flying back home today, the displays are packed up and back to work Monday. For those you who want to see a few non-stamping highlights, Matt updated his page at http://lindastamps.com/dh/.
I’ll be staying in San Antonio one more day to play with Deb Valder, Patsy Waggoner, Jan Burnett and our husbands. The guys have had fun visiting touristy locations like the caverns here. Not sure what we should do today but the weather is perfect. Someone mentioned a Segway tour and God help me from falling over or running into a tree on one of those things!
Here are a few swaps I have here in my room. I didn’t swap much this year but unloading my camera now I have 697 pictures!
This is a neat suspension card from Linda Goldhersz, one of my downline here. Not the best pic but the glitter heart is suspended with a fine filament string into Basic Gray card stock.
This beautiful angel wings card was done by Meg Wheeler. Twitterpated paper cut with the new bird die (what is that called? Ugh my memory stinks) she put tabs in the middle so they stand up:
Another one by Linda Goldhersz! Love this cheery gnome card:
Here is a pretty card by My friend Georgia Giguere using the new SAB set:
Rhea Hughes stamped this pretty monochromatic card with Apothecary stamp set:
