Stampcation make and takes

it’s been a whirlwind here today! Matt took a few pics earlier and now I’ll show what everyone made!

The Christmas trees were created by Catherine Harwood, who is here with us! she used Versamark on vanilla card stock and resisted with sponging. (so clever!)

the chocolate holder was something I saw on the display boards at convention but they had used the tree. thank you to the creative person who inspired the idea!

how sweet is the little 3×3 valentine?!

Shoeboxing!

100 stampers, chocolate, cupcakes and stamping…what a fun night!

Shelly and Catherine are getting more chatting than stamping done but that's what it's all about!

Shantaie and Toni, posing in front of Shantaie's Halloween mantle display

Deb, Janet, Susie and Emily hard at work!

Tomorrow morning is our make and take session using Paisley Prints and then the afternoon is all free stamp time and demonstrations.  I’ll try to post a few more pics tomorrow!  Linda

Stampcation Stage!

Shantaie and Catherine do fun demos!

Stampcation starts now!

I’m posting from my phone as guests are starting to arrive for our demonstrator event that we named Stampcation! (our stamping vacation)

Tonight 75 of us will be doing a shoebox swap in groups of 25. Check out some of these fun displays created by my creative partner in crime, Shantaie Fowler:

Some great cards…

I had my monthly demonstrator get together this past Sunday and a few of the girls made some card swaps to share with each other.  Here is a slide show to showcase their talent!

(If you like to save ideas you see here on your computer to remember later,  you can still do that with the slide show.  Just hit the stop button, right click and save)

Stampin’ Up! Cruise – St. Lucia

Greetings from the Sea! Linda will be posting a little stamping related tidbit soon (and if you are viewing this from a feed, please check go to the blog for all posts and video), but we wanted to share our experience in St. Lucia yesterday. We had a great time exploring and hanging out at the beach, and below is a little video preview. For more St. Lucia (as well as Barbados if you missed it), head over to my page later tonight or tomorrow!

Here is Gregory, the banana boat salesman! (There is really nothing like fresh coconut!!)

Today (Thursday) we are in Anitgua and it’s ziplining for the boys and exploring/shopping for the girls.

Stampin’ Up Cruise: Share Night

Tonight Stampin’ Up booked a huge room on the ship for the annual Share Night!  The demonstrators that actually planned ahead (um, no not me this year) to bring fun things to show set up at the tables.  The rest of us walked around to ooh and ahhh at all the talent!

View from the stairs of 1/2 of the room

Ok, my time on the internet is running out so the rest is in gallery form!  Click to enlarge and to read credits and details!

P.s.  My pillow gift from SU was a 1/4 stack of new cardstock in all the color families!!

We are now in St. Lucia and off to see the sights!

Stampin’ Up Cruise: Tuesday

We are in Barbados!

Last night when we came back to the room, we found a stampin’ pillow gift!
it’s a great backpack and fab clutch!

Today 8 of us are venturing into town, the Flower Forest and the beach!

Tonight is our Stampin’ Share, where the demonstrators here share their projects they have created recently- kind of a show and tell of sorts. If the Internet is available I’ll post pics.

Awash With Flowers

Need a little more SPRING in your step?  Me too!   While the weather is warming up more here in FL and snow may be lingering near you, these spring flowers can help!

  • The Awash with Flowers stamp set  from the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog

Here are 2 samples using this set!  Both were created by the very talented Connie Hobbs, who is a demonstrator in my Florida group.   I loved them both so much I thought I’d share them with you.  Aren’t they pretty?  Thanks, Connie!

It All Started With A Shuttle Launch…

We had a special guest from Stampin’ Up visit us at our local FL meeting this past week!   Lots of you know Pam Morgan, who is Stampin’ Up’s Vice President, Demo Services and Development.  She is seen on stage every year at conventions and loves to demonstrate projects and stamp like the rest of us!
We co-hosted Catherine Harwood’s group from Merritt Island and about 13 of her downline joined us!  It all started when Catherine’s husband had invited Pam to come to FL to watch one of the last shuttle launches (Catherine’s  husband is a space reporter/journalist for the  shuttle program). Pam had the idea that she would like to visit demonstrators and offered to come to her group meeting.  Catherine thought it would be fun to team up with our group since we were nearby and graciously offered to bring her team our way to join our group here.
Hey Space Coast girls! Thanks for joining us and driving all the way over.  Y’all were so fun and GREAT stampers!   I took pics of all the awesome projects you brought for our Share & Show table and I’ll be posting those next week!

We filled up our room with about 60 demonstrators that could make it that day.  Catherine and I prepared some make and takes and Pam spent 10 minutes or more at each table with her notepad, listening and answering questions. It was so great to have her with us that day and really shows how much Stampin’ Up will go the extra mile for US!

Pam brought samples and demonstrated our Simply Adorned charms. Here are her demos and samples:

See the teeny butterfly?  On the right is an old newsprint that pam stamped, sponged and crumpled.

The Crown is from Tiny Tags in the current Occasions Mini catalog.

I think this one was a gift to Pam – her initial in in the chipboard on a fabric flower cut from our Flower Fold die.  The little circle charm is hanging from the initial.

The next pics are inserts she created.  When you get your Simply Adorned charms (and they come in a few square, rectangle and circle sizes) save the paper inserts to use as your guide!

The bird is from Always, our SU designer paper and the gold crown embossed is from Tiny Tags!  Pam said it is so fun to use our designer paper since they are so rich with designs, even when you are decorating something so small.  It’s fun to hunt for patterns within patterns.

And of course old photos!  Guess who?

Yep, that’s Pam!

Thanks for stoppin’ by!  Linda
