Stampin’ Up home office did a quick video on stamping with embossing folders. I remember Carrie Cudney from SU doing a great demo using this technique back in 2012 at convention and I made her card using the stamped folder technique. You can see the delicate design of the Vintage Wallpaper folder (this was from 2012, so it’s retired now) stamped in Crumb Cake ink on the Vanilla card stock:
(The embossed area is called Faux Patina which I did as a Stamping School video. So if you are on there, search for Faux Patina)
Here’s the SU home office video for Folder Stamping. If you are viewing this post from your email you may need to come to the blog HERE to view:
Grab some ink and a folder to try it out!

Send a small $5 gift to a friend or buy yourself something big and save a bunch! Either way, it’s a nice treat until April 10th!
Get those 2013-2015 reinkers that are going out this year! see my post HERE about those colors retiring.

Speaking of retiring…I cannot believe we only have 2 more months until we have a new catalog!
The Stampin’ Up annual catalog Retiring List comes out April 21st! I’ll post that here as soon as I get it.
I wonder if Lovely as a Tree will stay in another year?
With the new catalog coming, I’d like to get an idea who needs a new catalog! I’ll have one set aside for all my regular customers from this past year but fill out the form so I can be sure I have correct addresses.
(If you are a current SU demonstrator or are currently purchasing through another demo, contact them for your catalog.)
The contact form below may not work for all users so if it’s wonky, just email your name and address to Linda@stampingschool.com
With the Blendies off the ordering table for a while, Stampin Up has a few coloring technique videos using our wonderful markers and a few of the Sale a Bration freebie papers:
Coloring those printed vellum stripes was easy and looked great, right? Be sure you let it dry a few minutes before adhering to your card.

Watercoloring with your water spritzer and ink on stamps:
This technique requires some play time to get the feel for how much water to get the right stamped image. Use some scrappy paper first until you get the amount of spritzing down.

Brian colors his acrylic block with his marker, spritzes then creates a watercolor background:

This one highlights the colorless Blender pens (set of 3 for $9.95) and how to pick up color from your ink pad. She uses A Happy Thing, one of the SAB freebie sets:
I’m off to film my own videos for this week for Stamping School so I’ll catch later!
Hi everyone! These kits really flew under the radar for me but my customers have been creating some fun things with them so I thought I’d spotlight them.
The kit is called Gratitude for Days. You can use it as a countdown to Thanksgiving recording your gratitude from day to day and hang them up as a reminder with these colorful cards and pockets. Kit includes 33 cards and 30 pockets, as well as stickers and binder clips.
Some are decorating them and sending to the family in advance so they can read them all on Thanksgiving day!
One customer even used them at a baby shower this month for writing advice to the new mom! The pockets and notes are just so cute.

The Wondrous Wreath is a new photopolymer stamp set in the Holiday catalog. I was going to make a quick video to show a few tips but then Stampin’ Up beat me to it!
Here Brandi from the corporate office shows how this set comes with a new alignment tab feature, which really helps us from turning and turning the framelits to cut out our images!
The tabs are a brilliant addition to these stamps! Really helps to line these up, which only makes our projects look better.

Here’s a fun new tool for your crafting toolbox and it’s just released today!
This little guy makes an impression! Literally. It’s a mini big shot that only embosses. 29.95 Item #132657
Now, it can never take the place of the Big Shot, which cuts everything as well as embosses. This lil guy would be good for crops or craft days where you want to take an embossing machine with you. It’s light! Or maybe I may get one for my classes when I want to emboss at one table and cut with my Big Shot at another table.
Here’s a quick video from SU:
Just because it’s SAB time doesn’t mean there aren’t Weekly Deals every Tuesday!
Here are this week’s sale items good through February 3rd.
Whew! That was a LOT of good things, right? Thanks for sticking with me to the end:) If you want anything you see here, call or email or order online HERE!
The latest cool tool from Stampin’ Up is available starting today! It’s called the Envelope Punch board:
Watch Brian Pilling from Stampin’ Up score and punch envelopes. It’s easy and makes 66 sizes of envelopes!
I have one here in my stamp room but with my 2 eye surgeries, I’m not focused enough yet to try it out. This week I should get my hands on it and play! I was thinking I wouldn’t need it with my diagonal score board but this is much easier and I LOVE that it punches the notches out so nicely. It’s also more compact and with at least 66 sizes, that’s pretty cool!
Envelope Punch Board Item #133774 $19.95
More Details:
It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
It’s small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it on the go! Portable and easy to store.
It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
It’s easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don’t have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won’t lose them!).
The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!
It will be in next year’s annual catalog, so it’s here to stay.
Order by email, phone (866-460-4902)or online in my store at www.lindaheller.stampinup.net click on Shop Now. The item number should be active today after noon Utah Time.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and go stamp something!
