SALE-A-BRATION  January 6- March 31

SAB is an annual promotion from Stampin’ Up, dating at least 20 years back!  Order $50 from any catalog, online products or clearance rack and YOU choose a freebie!  The yellow catalog above has 10 items you can choose from!  Order $150 and choose 3 PLUS get hostess freebies, too!

Here are the FREE selections available this year!

There are 12 sets of Blendabilities (set of 3 alcohol markers)  included, I just put in one so the page wasn’t too long.  Free Blendabilities sets with every $50 order are Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Pumpkin, Pie, Rich Razzleberry, Smoky Slate and Wisteria Wonder.

Stampin’ Up’s home office made some videos for the new products in the catalogs so I thought I’d share a few today!

Bow Builder Punch Video

One of my favorites and the first thing I ordered!  It’s a punch that makes cute, mini bows!

I measured the bows to be around 3/4″ x 2″ when finished.

Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Video

This is pricey but super handy!  Make any treat bag, customized with your own papers! I think they could have had the bag dies for $20 and the all the accessories in another set for $20, but they bundled them together.  Look at all the pieces you get with it! Bags measure around 3-3/4″ 5-1/4″ when finished.

If you don’t have a Big Shot yet, I always suggest getting one thru Stampin’ Up.  It does cost more than online BUT the warranty is well worth it!  I hope you never have to replace your machine but things can happen and our 3 year warranty will be there to replace it free.  Before you buy any machine online or in a store, ask what the warranty is and I’ll bet they say none or limited damage out of the box.
Stampin’ Up did a informative video on our Big Shot that cuts, scores and creases using dies and folders:

I have a list of 11 participating states who are giving a TAX FREE discount to many of our SU products!

From glues to scissors and in some states, Blendabilities and markers!

Download the list here and order with me during the dates posted (Aug 1-3 are the most common)

The final installment of the new Blendabilities are available to order!

This group is my favorite!  The Navy is gorgeous and has a light blue in it, almost a Bashful blue.  The Smoky Slates are really great for shadows. The Wisteria is perfect.  The Coral and Mambo aren’t my favorites yet but I’m still getting used to them.  They are very intense and will be great for flowers.
Ok, off to cut paper for a class!
If you’d like to order any of the fun bundles or the new Blendies, just give me a ring, an email or shop online in my Store!

Black Splash with Blendies

I’m drawn to black and white patterns, in clothing or home accessories and especially paper.

When I saw the new Stampin’ Up catalog had a pack of paper designed just for me (wink) I was SO happy!

It’s called Back to Black and has lots of striking, pretty patterns. See page 187 in your SU catty.

You can color your DSP with markers but the new Blendabilities are SUPER smooth and leave no streaks.

(I call them Blendies, since we are close now:)

Even Matt, with his discerning and sometimes critical eye, couldn’t tell it was hand colored and wasn’t bought that way.

The first one I made I colored in the stems and all the leaves/flowers.  It needed a little restraint on my part to avoid those the 2nd try!

When you try this at home, leave a little border of white around your images as the Blendies will soak up to the edges naturally.

I used the lightest yellow in the Daffodil Assorment #130998, the lightest red in the Cherry Cobbler assortment #130995

and the lightest green in the Olive assortment #130999.

I love the Black and white version also, with a pop of red!

The card is Basic Black, 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″, scored in landscape position at 4-1/4″ for a top fold card.

The skinny layer is 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″

and the DSP is 4″ x 4″ so you can get 9 cards from each sheet.

The sweet greetings are from a new hostess set coming out soon, I think in the Holiday catalog, called Good Greetings.

Blendabilities and Paper Sale!

Updated July 8th – SIX New Stampin’ Up Corporate videos about Blendabilities:

Go HERE to watch all 6 videos!

You have seen them in the catalog and now some of them are available!

These are Stampin’ Up’s version of an alcohol marker (like Copics) that blend beautifully.  You won’t use them directly on your stamps like our water-based markers so they will not replace those but add another option for coloring your stamped images.

Here is a SU corporate video about them:

Here are the select colors available now for customers (click on each one to see details in my store)

My favorites to buy first would be the Daffodil, Olives, Cherry and Skin Tones.  I seem to use those the most so far from this grouping!

You will need the Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and refill for using these alcohol markers (not StazOn)

I personally LOVE my new Memento Pad!  So easy to clean the ink off of, stamps beautifully, and is great for just a black greeting or image that doesn’t need to be waterproof.

Available Products to customers starting July 1:

  • Cherry Cobbler   (Item #130995 – $11.95)
  • Coastal Cabana  (Item #131000 – $11.95)
