Fun Fold Video: Gate Fold Locking Card

Hi all!  I had a request for an Easter bunny card this week and I love a fun fold, too!
This is an older fun fold that works for just about any theme, shape or color combo.
it folds flat and doesn’t use more than the usual amount of card stock than a regular card.  And it locks in place to hold the gate fold closed.

Video: Flip Flop Fun Fold

Hi all!

This week I revisited a fun fold from ages ago called a Flip Flop card.  Any shape works but I used the Fitting Florets oval die for this one along with the Lovely & Lasing bundle and designer paper. It folds flat and into a regular A2 sized envelope.|

I also made another Gnome version for the holidays!

Here is my video:

I hope you give it a try if you haven’t yet!

Video: Evergreen Border Punch

Gold heat embossing just feels like the holidays for some reason!
I had a request from Sharon in Texas to use the Stampin’ Up Evergreen Border Punch.  It’s in the annual catalog, great for nature cards and today, for the holidays!

The white card is only 3-1/2″ white and sits on top of the gold/green card base.   It’s a fun fold of sorts that saves paper, too!

By the way, YES I will be doing a new catalog paper, ribbon and accessories share in January!
I’ll be posting those the week of December 20th!

Video: Pinwheel Tower Cards

Hi all!    Someone requested this fun fold and it IS fun to make!
It’s called a Pinwheel Tower Card (or Tower Pinwheel)
It looked complicated but it really was easy to create them in multiple sizes.

(I think I over-explained it a bit in my video but Matt said to go with it, better than Under-explaining LOL)

(There are 3 pages to this PDF)

Here the other samples I showed in my video:

Here is the A2 Sized Pinwheel Tower Card, which folds flat to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

The 4 panels are all 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ each.

and here is the smallest one:

This is the Note Card Sized Pinwheel Tower Card, which folds flat to 3-1/2″ x 5″
I used the Sweet Symmetry Designer paper from the Stampin’ up Annual Catalog.  The stamp set is called Biggest Wish.
The column is 3-1/2″ tall x 4-1/2″ wide, scored at 1″, 2″ 3″ and 4″.

Video: 3 Types of Lock Fun Fold Cards

This week I had fun making THREE fun folds, all with one thing in common.
They are Lock Fold cards (or locking folds), which just means they have a closure on the front to keep them closed.

Watch my Video HERE or click the video photo below

The printable Recipe/measurement PDFs are located under each card below

SLIDE & LOCK GATE FOLD CARD

Print Recipe with measurements HERE

The first card is called a Gate Fold Slide & Lock.
Not sure where it originated but I learned it from my talented friend, Cindy Brumbaugh.
(You can see Cindy’s Ice Cream cards Video HERE )

I used the Ornate Garden paper along and added a butterfly from the Butterfly Bijou paper to save time on coloring.
The sliding mechanism is super easy to make and gives a basic gate fold card some extra interest.

ACCORDION LOCK FOLD CARD

Print Recipe with measurements HERE

This paper is so pretty any way you use it!
It’s from the Fine Art Floral suite and I used the Butterfly Brilliance bundle but you could really
use a heart, a circle, a square….as long as you have the fold down the middle, it works!

SLIDING LOCK CARD

I really love this one!  It’s easy to do and really holds the flap down.
I used the Forever Greenery bundle and the soon to be retired Pretty Peacock Cardstock and Ink.

By the way, the Stampin’ Up Annual catalog Retiring List will be out near the end of March!
So if you have the 2019-2021 In Color ink pads and need the re-inkers, I suggest to grab those soon.

Video: Dandy Garden: Joy Fold Card

I had a request to use those little ladybug trinkets (coming out on January 5th)
from the Dandy Garden suite in the new Stampin’ Up mini catalog.
Scattered on a table, they look a little buggy 🙂  but up close they are kinda cute.

Anyway, Trista emailed me and asked if I could show a card using them.
I thought if I’m putting a bug on a card, it should be useful so I used it as a closure for a
Joy fold card.  The smaller card has a right sided fold that pops up all the time,
so the little ladybug really keeps it snug:)

Here’s the video!
