Video: Accordion Side Step Fun Fold for Fall

I love how inspiration shows up!  One of the winners on my Stamping School Facebook page created fall fun fold and then I tried it!
(she was inspired by Julie Salva, who was inspired by Lisa Curcio, thanks girls! )

And it folds flat, which is great!

I changed up the process to make it a little bit easier and I like it….I hope you give it a try!

Video: Hot Foiling, Masks and Acetate!

I had lots of requests for this week’s video! How to hot foil on Window Sheets (clear acetate) AND how to line up the stencil butterfly masks with the acetate. These two cards are stunning in person and FUN to make!

It’s hard to see but there is a gold foil acetate overlay and the stenciled butterflies line up underneath.
There is a trick for getting those to line up perfectly so be sure to watch my video!

This card is my favorite and I made another one for a birthday card, too!    I foiled the white cardstock with the gold foil first, then added color using the masks, ink and blending brushes.

If you aren’t ready to foil yet, that’s ok!  Use your butterflies and make a card using the same layout.  I used Balmy Blue, Pretty Peacock and Berry Burst for my butterfly colors.

Video: Hot Foiling and a Fun Fold

Hi all!     I’ve been playing with our new tool this week.  It’s pretty fun!
Here is a quick intro to foiling from me – I’ve been experimenting on different types of papers and seeing what it can do.    If you don’t plan on foiling, I hope you try the fun fold with stamps and dies you already have!

The Velvet paper is soft, fuzzy and perfect for foiling!   I wish you could feel it!

I really like the Beautiful Ordinary Life designer paper paired up with the Balloon Festoon bundle!

I’m trying something fun and new that was just created by friends called Stamping Room.   It’s kinda brilliant:)  Just launched this month, it’s for stampers AND demonstrators who love and use Stampin’ Up! Products- current and retired. It’s a Stampin’ Up! community, a place where you can connect and learn from each other- a place to share your cards, ideas, and passion for paper crafting. As the community grows, so will the content and inspiration! Imagine logging in and being connected to all things Stampin’ Up! It’s like FB, Pinterest, Youtube and Etsy all rolled into one!
My team member and talented demo you know, Cindy Brumbaugh, did a video tour of the new site:

Right now It is just Cindy and me but I imagine it will be growing quickly as people catch on.
