Demonstrators are welcome to participate in my shares!
They are great to have samples on hand at your classes.
(if you are on my team, I have special pricing for you)
Here’s how a share works: For the designer papers, for every 8 of you that sign up I’ll Order all the paper. I’ll cut it down to 6×6 size and sort into 8 piles. So each person gets a 6×6 sheet of each style rather than having to buy a whole pack of each.
For the rolls of ribbon that comes 10 yards, I’ll divide it between 5 people.
Same with accessories – I split those between 5 people.
I’ll keep track and order based on the number of participants. Ordering for the new catalog begins May 4th.
I’ll sort and cut all the pieces for you. Then I package them up in my clear acetate boxes to keep them organized and mail them to you.
You should have your shares by the 3rd week in May pending backorders (I’ll keep you posted on those via email if it happens)
Don’t forget we still have a few weeks left for the retiring products!
Before I get to the post, I’ve been getting a number of emails asking me if I”m doing new annual catalog shares and YES!
I will be doing those as usual. I’ll post those next week!
This week I decided to use the Pretty Perennials bundle. I hadn’t used it yet and I just love the big HAPPY stamp! ***I gave the wrong retiring date in my video for this bundle, it’s good thru June 2021!**
With the annual catalog starting May 4th and the January-June still going on, I got a little turned around.
I created 4 different cards and same easy layout.
I love all the different personalities with one stamp set!
Today I made some post-it note holders and I haven’t made them in YEARS!
I love giving these away to friends and those wonderful people in my life like my mail carrier, my hairdresser – you know who you might give one to!
As I’m moving my videos from Stamping School over to YouTube, I’ve been re-creating some of the older projects.
This project video was from 2007! Some of you who have been around SU for years may remember this stamp from back then:
It’s been fun going back to visit some of the oldies and reviving them.
I was inspired by a sample in the NEW Stampin’ Up Annual Catalog, which I got a peek at this week!
I think you guys are going to like it)
The new catalog begins May 4th!
Be looking out for your catalog mid April
(if you are new here and would like one, email me! Linda@stampingschool.com)
The sample is on page 28 and uses the new Pansy Petals suite!
I copied it pretty much exactly using the NEW In Colors.
The card base is Soft Succulent – such a pretty, soft earthy blue/green
From there, I got on a roll and created 3 of the note totes:
That’s all for me today!
Don’t forget the Retiring List with Last Chance products ends this month – Here is a link to shop the deals!
I’ve met several brand new stampers lately and it’s so fun to see the excitement of making cards for the first time.
Just starting out there are so many questions like how do I cut the cards? Where do I start?
There’s so many options to choose and it can be overwhelming.
So today I’m doing a quick refresher on how to cut, score and stamp a pretty card!
Many of you are already seasoned stampers but if you know someone who is
just starting out making their own cards, share it!
If the video below doesn’t show in your email, click HERE
This week I had a request to use the Flowering Vine dies!
Thank you Mindy for giving me the nudge to use ’em this week!
Let’s get right to the video so you can see them all in action!
You can click HERE or on the video below to watch.
I made a recipe/measurement PDF for each card. See the link under each photo for the printable recipe and measurements
This one might be my favorite!
I like the 3 pages and the see thru window altho
I did change the orientation in the video so it cuts easier in the die cutting machine.
I really like how this one came out, too!
I think it’s the woodgrain paper that lends to the farmhouse feel.
This shows how to use the background die as a stamped image
just by adding color with the alcohol Blends markers.
When I have more time, I’d like to try this with other papers but the
Inlay or Inlaid technique is a cool look, especially in person. You really see it embedded it there.
This is the most traditional way to use the background dies, as a background to a sentiment or image.
The Hydrangea designer really sets it off against the darker purples.
So pearly, so shiny and SO pretty!
This will work with any embossing folder but I was playing with the new Sand & Sea suite
(coming out in the January-June mini catalog from Stampin’ Up)
and had an idea to try to make my own pearly paper and it worked!
I used our new Blending brushes and our Frost White shimmer paint before embossing
to really make it a wow!
If you are ordering with me January 5th, here are the numbers for the paint and brushes:
Frost Shimmer White paint $8 #147046
Blending Brushes set of 3 $12 153611
This new sea shell suite is HUGE and full of possibilities!
There’s a big stamp set, matching dies, and a matching embossing folder which all work together!
Watch my video HERE to see all the products in this suite up close!

Here are the 3 cards I cased from pages 40-42 in the catalog:
Be ready to order this right away on January 5th so you can earn Sale a Bration freebies!
I’ll post the Freebies catalog here on January 5th if you haven’t received yours yet.
The bulk mail is going sooooo slow due to covid and holidays.
Only 2 more days to get in on my new catalog shares/samplers!
This week I played with the gold hoops from the Stampin’ Up annual catalog.
I thought they’d make a sweet little ornament so I added it to a card.
It can easily come off the card since it’s hanging on a brad:
The Poinsettia dies with the red velvet paper really makes a nicely textured flower
altho I had a hard time getting a good pic of it!
(Watch the video below for a better look)
For one day, November 24th , Stampin’ Up will have a 10% off sale from the Annual Catalog!
Over 750 items will be 10% off (or think of it like free shipping since that is around 10%)
There are some exclusions that aren’t on the list Here is the list of excluded items – click here to view PDF
These are a fun fold card called an Arrow Fold and really fun to make!
I did a video for both horizontal card and vertical card
so you can learn to make one, too!
I turned the GOAT card into a gift card holder which is super useful for lots of occasions.
A happy surprise was discovering the Triangle Dies fit perfectly in BOTH orientations!
