I needed a pretty birthday card for a special friend of mine. This one evolved in only 10 minutes using a card sketch! It’s a 5×5 sized card and I needed an envelope to go with it so I created one using the Envelope punch board. I added a belly band around the envelope since I’m hand delivering it.
The designer paper does all the work on this card!
It’s called Sweet Soiree and will be in the upcoming Occasions catalog beginning January 3rd. It’s layered with colors like Berry Burst, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Marina Mist! It’s so pretty and 6 of the sheets have a shiny, silver foil detail on them.
I used a sketch from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches # 317 which shows a basic layout but works well when you have designer papers with a lot of pop!
I also loved the simple detail behind the square. I added a 3/4″ strip of silver foil paper and and a Rich Razzleberry card stock 1/2″ strip along the front.
If you are a member of my Stamping School, look for an alternate design with this sketch in this Sunday’s videos!
Go Stamp Something!
This is so pretty Linda! I think this is my very favorite DSP in the new catalog, it will be fun to create with it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card, can’t wait to see it on Stamping School.
