We live in the most wonderful, social neighborhood.  If there is an opportunity to get together, we do and especially an important holiday like the 4th of July.
One couple in particular offers to host each year and I like to take a little somethin’ somethin’ to show our thanks for hosting.

I found a set of 2 coozies, decked out in stars and stripes for the 4th but wanted
to make  them a little more personal.
I made a patriotic heart and added a die cut Thanks to it.

I added  2 real red card stock strips + one white strip (all 1/4″ wide) on top of Blueberry Bushel card stock.  Then cut with a heart framelit.   After that I ended up choosing silver foil for my Well Written dies for the ‘thanks’.  I popped it up on a stitched circle and added a little sequin trim and star embellies.

Side note – I have used these dies SO much!
They are just the right size, about 1/2″ high.

Whatever you will be doing on Independence Day
or how you celebrate, I hope you all have a great holiday weekend!

Totally unrelated to stamping but
I found this interesting bit of Trivia about the 4th of July and presidents:

Three presidents have died, and one was born, on the Fourth of July!
Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4, 1826—50 years to the day after the Declaration of Independence was adopted. Also James Monroe, the nation’s fifth president, died just a few years later on July 4, 1831.  And one more, the 30th president, Calvin Coolidge, was born on July 4, 1872.
