Stampin’ Up slid 3 new stamp sets into a ‘beginner stamper’ brochure that I ignored at first. Then people started talking about this little magnolia set and how to get it.
The Magnolia bundle in the catalog is fabulous but pricey with the 2 stamp sets/dies.
This little guy is a great addition if you already have that bundle or if you want just a little bit of magnolias in your life!

(I think these sets are available all year til June.)
If you would like one mailed to you, let me know!
I was late in making thank you cards and needed them quickly!
No fussy cutting, very little coloring
and I even had time to add some designer paper to the flap!
I already had the Petal Pink note card embossed with the brick folder from another unfinished project so I used it to layer my 2″ designer paper and label on.
(yes you can still mail a 3-1/2 x 5 card in the US!)
I love the new stitched nested label dies, by the way.
Originally I wished they layered with each other better
but I find I just don’t need to layer them! They look great on their own.
Stitched Nested Labels Dies #149638 $35
They are also offering a bundle of items to make it easy for the beginner stamper.
#The Magnolia Lane Card Bundle is $ 45.50 and #152868
It includes the Magnolia Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set—6 stamps, Clear Block D, two of the 1″ Classic Stampin’ Spots in 1 Mossy Meadow and 1 Soft Suede, Magnolia Lane Small Memories & More Card Pack (10 double-sided printed cards) and 10 note cards/10 envelopes, and SNAIL Adhesive.
I think we can all relate to just getting started and not knowing what to buy, so this may help some stampers get started.
Here are the other 2 stamp sets in that Beginner stamper brochure that are not
in the annual catalog:
Celebrate with Cake $16 #149501
They also have a bundle for new stampers:
The bundle is $46.50 #152861 and includes the Celebrate with Cake Photopolymer Stamp Set—14 stamps, Clear Block D, 2 Classic Stampin’ Pads—1 Flirty Flamingo and 1 Granny Apple Green and 20 Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes
(3-1/2 x 5 size, mail-able)
This one is the Hoot Hoot Hooray set $21 #149352
It has a bundle also, which would be a great gift for a young teen or someone just getting started on stamping and coloring.
It’s $60 for the bundle and item #152871 It includes the Hoot Hoot Hooray Cling (rubber) Stamp Set–6 stamps, Clear Block D, full size Basic Gray Classic Stampin’ Pad, 20 Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes, 13 Watercolor Pencils in Basic Black, Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White.

**just a reminder -If you have purchased any of the 3D folders since June from the new catalog, you will need a blue plate for them to emboss well in your Big Shot. These are slightly thinner and will need the new plate to get a good impression.
Just use it in place of your clear cutting plate!
(the thicker 3D folders only use one cutting plate, not 2)

Hey, Linda – Hope you’re doing well. Sounds as if NC is a nice place to live. I have a question, can the “blue plate” be purchased through SU? I couldn’t find it in the catalog. Then I went on line and I’m not sure what I’m looking for. As always, thanks. Nancy
