Kissing Technique Video

I’m popping in for just a few minutes today!  I’ve been cutting paper like crazy, finishing up all my 6×6 Paper Samplers/Shares!  They are ALL mailed as of this morning and thank you to all who participated with me again this year.  I’ll be doing Buttons and Ribbons in a few weeks so stay tuned.

Florida Locals – I have a few Stamp A Stacks this month you can attend in addition to my technique classes.

A Stamp a Stack is an event where you can make 12 cards, 4 designs, 3 each!  The cards are less involved but really nice and so fun to get out and stamp.   One event  is near Goldenrod/Aloma Area and you can read all about it HERE.   I have another near Dr.Phillips area and you can read all about that one HERE.

You can rsvp in those links or email me for more information at lindastamps@cfl.rr.com.   Demonstrators can attend also as long as there is room.    To see all my local classes, go to my SU website at www.lindaheller.stampinup.net

Love to see you all there!

Stampin’ Up released a short video using a technique called Kissing, but adding patterns to solid stamps.   It’s an old technique but always fun to see new designs, right?

Go stamp something!

My New Must Have…Magnetic Platform!

magnetic platform

My favorite ‘MUST HAVE’ from the new Stampin’ Up catalog!  I have tested this thing and it really works!

It’s the newest platform for your Big Shot that is magnetic, so your framelits won’t move or slip around while you are trying to line them up and cut.

This will take the place of your regular platform JUST for the Framelits and Edgelits, not your sizzlets, embosslits or regular dies, which won’t fit through.

(side note:  there is a warning label on the side about not using it if you have a pacemaker)

It’s pricey but totally worth it’s weight in magnets and staying power!   $39.95 Item # 130658  Page 184 of the SU catalog.

I was just about to do a video for you but then SU beat me to it 🙂  Here is Brandi Barnard from the SU home office showing how it works:

Speaking of FRAMELITS….I just bought 2 of the newest sets in the SU catalog, Circles and Squares!

Stamping it Forward Video

2013 SU leadership truck

From the Orlando Sentinel Online Newspaper:  “Two thousand Orange County teachers will get paper supply bags worth $375, signed with a personal thank-you note, as part of the national conference of a major scrapbooking company. Every art teacher in the district will receive one.

The gift bags will be assembled this afternoon by the women and men who sell “Stampin’ Up” products around the country. They are gathering this week at the Orange County Convention Center for their national “Leadership 2013″ conference. The gift bags, which include paper craft supplies that teachers can use in their classrooms, are a thank-you to teachers and part of a company wide push emphasizing ‘making a difference.’

I’ve been waiting (not so patiently) for Stampin’ Up to post this video!

Orange schools benefit from the presence of the Orange County Convention Center, as many conference goers try to give back to the community with gifts or by donating community service hours during their visits.”

Here’s another video from SU  with a tour of their  Distribution Center—from an order’s point of view—and check out some of Stampin’ Up!’s achievements and milestones over the past 25 years:

Fun to see where your orders go, right?

Simply Scored Diagonal Board Video

Happy first day of March!

I’m lovin’ it!  Sounds like the McD’s jingle but this new tool is cool!  I’ve always wanted more than just a triangle piece for scoring diagonal lines.  This companion to the Simply Scored Board fits right on top!  Has 2 little silicone rectangles to hold it on. It’s larger than a 12×12 sheet of paper so it’s perfect for bigger projects! Scores every 1/8″.

Here’s a quick introduction video:

I realized quickly that I needed templates if I was to strategically create envelopes out of designer paper.

Here’s the video of what I did so I could get this envelope just the way I wanted it:

Want one?

It’s only 11.95!  Item number 125586 for the Diagonal board.

If you don’t have the Simply Scored base to put it on, it is 29.95 item # 122334  Comes with double tipped metal stylus (not a plastic bone folder) and 3 place-markers.
