Oh, and by the way – Stampin’ Up is going to have12 days of GREAT sales starting Friday, December 11th, so stay tuned here for info as they release the details!
On to showing you something NEW and FUN!
Stampin’ Up has a new option to mount our rubber stamps! They are not getting rid of the wood blocks but offering another option for those that prefer the space saving solution of clear blocks. We are not selling clear stamps but rather a clever way to mount the rubber temporarily to a clear block and then remove to store in a slim, DVD type cases. SU will be offering the new clear mounts and well as wood mounted for all new stamps coming out!
Those of you that saw my ‘just out of the box’ video with my Occasions Mini Catalog goodies know that I owe you a new video for mounting our unmounted stamps! I didn’t read any directions and just went for it but didn’t do it exactly as the instructions showed. So far, I’ve noticed 2 ways to mount these so I made a quick video for you:
I’ve received a bunch of emails about whether I’m changing over to all clear mounts. I don’t think so at this point. I love the wood blocks and will probably keep using the wood blocks. I do like the option of spending less and saving room so I will buy some clear mounts also. I like being able to stamp fast, each stamp having it’s own block all the time. I think stamping in big groups and classes can get tricky with sharing the acrylic blocks. but I’ll give it a go and see what happens! If I were just stamping at home for fun by myself or a few friends and needed the extra space, then I’d probably switch over. I like the idea of spending less, especially on sets I buy that I might use less or for one occasion. I guess once I use them more, I’ll make a decision!

I had my monthly demonstrator get together last Sunday here in Florida. We always have a great time and it’s a favorite part of my job! This month Toni Ballesteros volunteered (or did I talk her into it? details, details) to show her cute, original idea of how to use a Valentine’s Day stamp set for Christmas. We have a video camera set up so everyone can see it on the big projector screen and I hit the record button and captured it for you. It’s a live video, so you will hear everyone’s comments and cheers, too:

Thanks, Toni! Really Cute!

Hi Stampers! If you caught the Catty Cruise Blog Tour here last weekend, I showed some projects with Stampin’ Up’s Wood Sheets. One was a basket and I promised a video tutorial. Scroll down to the next post see the Wood Sheets projects and basket if you missed it.
I warn ya – it’s a 10 minute video because there are a few steps to the basket! A labor of love but worth it! Linda

Off to make some swaps for our annual Stampin’ Up convention next week!

Why not popping pastels on ribbon? It works! Grab your favorite stamp, a VersaMark pad and your pastels & daubers. No need to seal it – it’s even waterproof! I ran it under the kitchen faucet to be sure!
I still have some retired stamps to give away FREE with orders and adding more this week! See them HERE!

Hi stampers – Stamping on ribbon is fun to do but can sometimes bleed and look bad in just minutes. Here are a few tricks to stop the images from getting fuzzy!

H Stampers! We had our monthly get together of my Stampin’ Up downline last Sunday. It’s always a bunch of fun, lots of stamping and sharing going on. I always have my video camera set up to project our demonstrations up on a big screen so everyone see. This past week, Jackie and Emily jumped in with a few fun demos and I hit the record button! Both were great and thought I’d share with all of you, too.
Here are 2 of the videos, shot “LIVE and unrehearsed” from the meeting:
In the first segment, Emily Turner takes the mystery of ruching ribbon. Then she shows a card she made using the scallop edge punch and felt flowers. My picture didn’t come out very well in the light at our facility, but it is Pink Pirouette, Baja and Chocolate.

And here is the video:
Jackie Walker Shows how to make this holiday card using the Iris Folding Technique. She got the template from Page 7 of our June 2008 Stampin’ Success Magazine. If you aren’t a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, ask your demonstrator for the pattern. As a last resort, you can get some free patterns at Squidoo.

And here is the VIDEO:
Have a GREAT stampin’ week!

Yup, we all have ’em. Lots and lots of receipts. I was at the local drug store and not only did they give me a receipt that was 9 inches long for one item, they also printed out 2 extra receipts of coupons I for things I didn’t (and wouldn’t) purchase later!
I’m on week 3 of stamping green and I have been paying attention to ways to save resources and re-purpose. Yesterday I was cleaning out my purse and I pulled out a huge clump of receipts from my travels around Orlando. Of course some I need to save for business deductions or returns but most of them go right into the trash.
Here is this week’s GREEN stamping video and my small way to use them for good!
See you next Sunday!
