One of the easiest card layouts is what I call the 2×4. Just like the lumber version, it’s a great foundation, divides nicely when cut from 6×6 or 12 x 12 papers and goes together quickly! Cut your paper 2×4 and layer onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ card stock. In this card, I used Cherry Cobbler and embossed with the star folder. (it looks like the circle and greeting are vanilla here but they are really Sahara Sand)
I was inspired by this project in the CardMaker magaizine this month. It’s a stitched embroidery hoop by Tami Mayberry:
The Warmth & Cheer papers are perfect for this Americana card!
Here’s a brighter version using the same papers but with white and Real Red card stock:
Add whatever you want to the circle! If you still have the 2-1/2″ circle punch that retired, it’s quick and easy along with a heart punch. For me, I used the circle framelits along with the Perfect Pines framelits and heart framelits.
If you have the tree punch from last year, that would be cute too!
