I slept in today – it was glorious! I think I woke up at 9 am (which my internal clock was reading 11 am eastern time) and was STARVING! I had to run downstairs to be sure I caught breakfast in time before it closed. There was a full spread from omelet bar to bisquits and gravy. Yum
Funny thing is that I was there at the same table for I think 4 hours! I had made plans to meet Joey Pogorel and Debbie Moczek about a Florida event we are planning. (more on that later!) Debbie Naylor joined us and we had a fun just shooting the stampin’ breeze. People would stop at our table, pull up a chair and we’d bounce around topics. It was a revolving door of demos!

This was the last group at our table – thanks girls for the great conversation, ideas and laughs! From back left: Debbie Moczek, Debbie Naylor, Joey Pogorel, Ruth Bingle, me, Martha Armstrong and Patty Bennett
So after my bum was numb for sitting so long, I headed down to do our make and takes. I wish I could show you but since the stamp set won’t be out until January in the Occasions mini, they asked us not to post pics. We did 2 projects but one had 5 little envelopes and cards/tags. The other was a flower die in a box, Cute!

We had a great relay stamp team going here! We each took parts of the project and did them in bulk. So whatever my job was, I did it 5 times so we were all finished in an hour (or so) From left: Debbie Naylor, Debbie Moczek, me, Robin Merriman, and Tiffany Bauer. I usually don’t like stamping publicly but it was a blast with these girls!
Table for 71? Yep, Robin organized a dinner at Olive Garden for 71 of us! We all walked over and the service was amazing! Robin had us all sit with others that we didn’t know well so we could make new friends. I enjoyed getting to know Jane Wike, Susie Wood and LeeAnn Greff, my table mates!
After way too much pasta and ice cream, I rolled back to the hotel and caught a bus to Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida. It was at the Tuachan Ampitheater, which is gorgeous! We sat outside in comfy seats with the mountains behind the stage. As it got dark out, there were bats flying here and there (catching mosquitos as good bats do) and we would catch glimpses of them in the stage lights.

Lisa Schmid and I, just off the bus, holding our tickets in front of the scenery

My view from where I was sitting of the stage before the show. We weren’t allowed to take pics once it started.
After a good cry over the love story about the soldier and the princess we headed back to the hotel and straight to the rec room (as I call it) for more chocolate! Then we were too wired to go to bed…
By the way, for those quilters out there, I wish you could see these in person! Jill Olsen brought a bunch of quilts she made to share with all of us. She uses the Big Shot to cut the shapes and it is incredible to see them all up close. Here are a few pics of them –

(That’s Jill, holding up one of them)

Ruth was in love…

And finally, back to my room where there was another Pillow Gift waiting for me:

A beautiful hardcover edition of Secret Garden, to go along with our Bloom and Grow theme. It’s was a thoughtful gift and the best part, which really touched my heart:

Boy Am I falling behind! Our internet expired the day before we left Hawaii and I didn’t get to show you my last 2 gifts from Stampin’ Up!

This is a silver necklace created by a local artist in Hawaii. It is such a thoughtful keepsake and I have worn it since.

These sarongs were delivered to our door also! Some received pink like mine and some red. I watched some videos on YouTube to figure out how to tie and wear it to the Luau that night but…it was So Wrong! I looked like a sack of potatoes…

The Luau was fabulous! These adorable girls met us at the entry and gave us necklaces.

Stampin’ Up had grass huts set up with demonstrations of local foods and crafts. This is the Poi Pounder – he showed us how the taro root becomes Poi. (not very tasty but to each his own!)

Of course, the food was endless!

And the entertainment was spectacular and lasted for several hours!
We will miss our view from our room but it is great to be home, too!

What a day! I feel like we have lived through 3 full days in just one! It is only 8 pm here and my body is still on Florida time, 2:30 am. This zone difference must take a while to get used to! We left this morning at 7:00 am and just got back. We’ll post pics tomorrow of our exciting day on the zip lines!
For those of you tuning in to see what happened on the Stampin’ Up scene, here are 2 gifts we received today:

Believe it or not, THIS cool box holds our make and take supplies! On these trips, we don’t stamp all week as some might think. It is truly a vacation and although we might meet up with friends to brainstorm business ideas, there isn’t a whole lotta stampin’ going on. There is an open house of sorts set up for us to go in and stamp our make & takes when we have time.
This was all the goodies inside: (except for the new stamp set which I can’t show you but I really, really like it)

Then we got back to our room to find this on our bed:

It is a gift wrapped up in tea leaves!

I don’t think I showed you our shirts and bags, did I? I was SO exhausted last night I crashed.

Red for girls, Black / Khaki for guys. there is a fun Stampin’ Up logo on the sleeve
The tote bag matches the wallet that was mailed to us before we left:

And Matt got one, too!
The displays went up today with samples that were submitted by Stampin’ Up and demonstrator acheivers here on the trip. I wish the artist name was displayed along with the sample, but they aren’t. If you recognize your artwork, just email me and I will put your name on it!
(ps – I did update the pics in the post below with the display pictures!)
For time and space issues, I am uploading as a gallery. Click on the pic to see it in all it’s glory, full size! I don’t have time now to show the stamp set names and details, but enjoy!

It’s here! I heard that Stampin’ Up had sent out our tickets to Hawaii and FedEx just dropped them at my door! Stampin’ Up usually has a cute way to package our tickets, tags and info – they managed to do it again this year!

Isn’t it neat? I know, you want to see what is inside –

The luggage tags are so fun!
I haven’t even started to pack, or shop or lose that 20 pounds I wanted to lose but oh, well! It’s going to be wonderful and I am grateful to be going.
Thank you to all my loyal, wonderful customers who came to my classes and workshops. Without your sales and support I would not be able to go. Thank you to all of my downline who helped me earn this trip by your promotions, also!
We leave on the 22nd and I hope to be posting from the island when we can!

Hi stampers! It is January 19th and we can officially post pictures of the new stamps, products and awesome papers we saw at the Stampin’ Up Leadership conference last week! I am showing my favorites and things that are on my wish list. We can order today after noon (2:00 my time here in Florida!)
The projects I am showing you were on display but no names for the artist are displayed, so a big thanks to the creators who made these for Stampin’ Up!
If you do not have a local demonstrator and would like a copy of the NEW catalog, you can email me at lindastamps@cfl.rr.com. The cost is $10 and I will send 2 $5 gift certificates to be used if you place 2 orders of 25.00 or more. To my regular customers who purchased from me last year, your catalog is free – just get in touch if you don’t have your copy already!
Okay! Here we go!

All Images Copyright Stampin' Up!
Isn’t this gorgeous??! We have new card stock that is bronzy chocolate in color. There is a Sizzix textured die coming in March with the Manhattan flower, so it can be dry embossed on the cardstock. It’s large enough for a full card and so elegant! On the right side, it is only dry embossed. On the left side, they dry embossed it and then drew over it with a glue pen and used the new FINE CHOCOLATE GLITTER!
This is with the coordinating stamp set:

There are these new things called Canvas Cuts, which are die cut canvas sheets for added texture to your projects. Coordinates with new rubons.

Digital Scrapbooking program, My Digital Studio. This won’t be out in this catalog: So cool because it is super easy to use. If you can use Word, you can use this! So much fun with our brads, designer paper and stamp images that can be made to any size! Then you add real embellishments on top of it after you print and it is really something special! I’ve seen 3 different Digi programs in action before and I think they might have something extra special with this one…can’t wait to play with it!
Paula Rotmil, one of the girls in my downline who is here, WON it!!! It’s won’t be out for a while, but when it is I’ll be at her place playing with it for sure!
New Decor Elements Stencils!
This is one of our exclusive stamp sets and now it is a stencil, too. This bedroom is one of Shelli’s daughters and I think it is done with eggplant or plum acrylic paint and a sponge roller:

The pic above is Shelli demonstrating our new décor elements stencils for us! She has been wanting stencils for a long time. These aren’t your grandma’s stencils! Our designs are exclusive. Use with any color of paint of course.
She used a sponge roller and plum Delta paint. She uses a drop in one of our stamp cases. Very little on roller
shelli said she will be using one of them in cream on taupe walls.

All Images copyright Stampin' Up!
Look at how pretty this little silk lampshade is! Same stencil, using a stencil brush.

All Images copyright Stampin' Up!
Tote bag
Shelli made note to say that we will not be selling the paints, stencil creams, brushes, etc. this is just another fun application of our images that we love and to reach new crafters.
She made the illustration of how snow skiing was declining in popularity. Snow boarding re-emerged and brought snow sports back into popularity. It didn’t mean that skiiers left their hobby, just that new people discovered a different type of sport. I didn’t tell it as well, but you get the picture, right?

All Images copyright Stampin' Up!
These cute birds are everywhere and in stencils, too!

All Images copyright Stampin' Up!
This is a linen album that Shelli made! Stenciled on the front and added embellishments. She sprayed it with a sealant and while it was still wet, sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds in it! Seeing it in person is so much better!

All Images copyright Stampin' Up!
Front page of her album

All Images Copyright Stampin' Up!
She used Classic Ink and a dauber on the stencil for these pages

All Images Copyright Stampin' Up!
Her favorite card! She used White Craft ink….

NEW SIZZIX DIE CUTS:

My favorites are the nesting ovals, which are going to be great. The scalloped oval is on my list, too. It doesn’t look like it but the middle punches out in a solid oval.

All Images Copyright Stampin' Up!
I’m going to get this alphabet die set – I think I will use it a bunch. It is only an EXCLUSIVE Stampin’ Up die and is only 21.95! Love the asian influence bird and branches. There is a stamp set I will be getting that is called Bird on a Branch and a coordinating wheel called Branch out. Similar feel as branches in the picture.

It is our last day here in St. George and I am looking forward to go home but hate to leave all this fun, too! Today I had zero plans made and slept in a bit and went down for my last breakfast buffet. (I’m gonna have to juice for a week to detox after all of non-stop grazing I have done!) Had a great time eating outside on the veranda (didn’t have my camera or I would have shown you the pretty view) and a bunch of us sat around the table and brainstormed a bit about our businesses. I have learned so much from hearing what other demos do!
Georgia asked Jan and I if we wanted to go somewhere fun with her. She said it was a surprise and to trust her so we did and what a fun time we had! Susan Adams, a demo who is here at Founders and lives 5 minutes from here, had a bunch of us over to her place to stamp and make these:

Georgia had made them the day before and already had the fabric. The other side is red fabrics and says Joyful so you can reverse it. See all the little scallops along the border? We used Susan’s Big Shot and the pennant die to cut out ALL of those pieces!

Here is Georgia on the left and Susan (the hostess) on the right. Susan’s husband built her this amazing stamp room where she can have her classes. It is a happy, creative place! Just a note – Susan and I hadn’t met before today and yet she said c’mon over!
This lovable face greeted us at the door – Her name is Journey. I just wanted to take her home with me!

Jan had a heck of a time with the sewing machine! She was a trooper and finished her banner but I chickened out and decided to sew mine at home. With my luck, I was afraid I’d break Susan’s machine and the pressure got to me!
Here are a few pics of the rest of the girls there. Click to enlarge…

After all that creativity being spent, we were hungry and shared some appetizers at Iggy’s. We didn’t want to eat much since we were told we they arranged a special dinner for our last night.
Stampin’ Up told us that we ALL needed to be in the lobby at 6 p.m. for a surprise event. The only details and instrutions we were given: wear closed-toed shoes, bring a jacket since we would be outside, and that our group picture would be taken.
We got on our buses and yes, we were on our little short bus! We drove about 20 minutes to a breathtaking place called The Inn at Entrada. (hope I got that right)
This is what we saw as we got off the bus:

Walking over a little bridge

And up the walkway I saw these table with luminaries

and then I heard squeals of delight as they found a gift on every chair,..

A scrumptiously soft chenille blanket!

and another thoughtful note.

There was a popcorn and candy stand and I KNEW we were going to watch a movie outside! If you look closely or click to enlarge, you can see the Designer Paper cones that the popcorn went in! There was a huge screen and we watched “No Reservations”, a sweet movie with Catherine Zeta Jones as a chef.

I realized that my 10 year anniversary with Stampin’ Up was during this Founder’s Trip! I told Shelli that and we laughed that it only took 10 years to get here but I never want to miss another one!
Thanks for reading along with me the last 4 days!

Last post of the day!
It’s about 9:30 pm and I was feeling like something sweet so I ran down to the Gathering Place to raid the Jelly Belly Jar!

Seriously, shouldn’t we all have cute candy jars like these at home?

I caught up with Debbie Naylor and Denise Jorgenson stamping in their jammies! (at least she kept her eyes open for the camera – why do I always manage to blink at exactly the same time as the shutter?!)
